*This is a Family-Friendly program, which means this workshop is open only to adults with minors. To participate in this program, adults need to register themselves and at least one child. An adult can register multiple children (up to 3).
We will explore the decorative sewing patterns of the Japanese Stab Binding, while learning a bit about the eastern traditions of book binding. Hammers and awls are used to create this book. Tools & materials provided. A materials fee of $10 payable to the instructor is due on the first night (fee is per registrant).

Paint Night: Bokeh

This class is perfect for beginners as well as advanced painters. Canvas and paints are supplied.

Painting the Landscape: Rocks

In this class, open to all levels, students will learn to paint rocks as expressive elements within a landscape. We’ll explore structure, texture, light, and shadow to capture their weight and character. Open to all paint mediums. Upon registration a simple list of materials will be sent out.
Sashiko Mending

Have clothes that need mending? Come learn sashiko, the Japanese art of visible mending where we will patch our garments with a purposefully visible stitch to strengthen and beautify them all at once. Students will each receive needles, thread, a patch, and a take-home guide. Please bring a ruler, scissors, sewing pins, and your garment of choice (denim preferred). A $25 materials fee, payable to the instructor, must be paid the first night of class.
Foraging Walk

According to the Arthritis Foundation, 32.5 million adults in America with osteoarthritis woke up in pain today. Come learn about techniques, devices, and splints, to balance daily activities and exercises with pain management. Self-care is conservative care and often the first line of care prescribed by Occupational Therapists.
