Parents:  It is vital that your student arrive on time for class.  Due to late arrivals, students are falling short of their 30 hours of class time and must make up the time.  Because the State of Maine requires 30 hours of class time, if your student arrives late, they will be turned away, and a charge will apply (below) for the class to be made up.  It is very important that your student arrives on time.  Unfortunately, we cannot make any exceptions.  Thank you for your understanding.

PLEASE NOTE:  Parents are required to attend the last 45 minutes of the first class AND participate in a ride-along with your child for one hour of their 10 hour driving lessons requirement.

Are you between ages 15 and 19 and want your State of Maine permit to prepare for your driving exam? We offer driver education courses to help build strong, safe, and confident drivers. Students are awarded an instructional permit upon successful completion of the course with a grade of 80 percent or better. Only employee discounts are allowed, but you must call to register. If the student has a medical condition, please contact the office or click on the link below as an additional medical form is required. Total hours of instruction is 40; 30 classroom and 10 driving. Full payment of $575 is required at the time of registration. If a student withdraws from the course, $75 is withheld from the refund to cover program costs. Only employee discounts for this class. Please bring your birth certificate or passport to the first class and a pen to every class as well as glasses for your eye exam, if you wear them.

Have you ever wanted to try canning, but were unsure how to get started? Or perhaps you are concerned about food safety, and wondering how to ensure that your canned food is both delicious and safe. Well, this is the class for you! Join Allison Carroll Duffy, Master Food Preserver and cookbook author, for this hands-on workshop covering all that you need to know to get started canning your own food. Well cover the basics of safe home canning, including proper procedures, techniques, and use of tools and equipment. Then we’ll learn hands-on--working together as a group and going step-by-step--to make and can a big batch of jam. We’ll use the boiling water bath method, which is the same method you’ll use for making many other canned goods you might want to make at home, including pickles, salsas, chutneys, and fruit. While this class will focus primarily on the boiling water bath method of canning, pressure canning will also be discussed. At the end of the class, there will be plenty of jam to taste, and each participant will go home with a jar of jam to enjoy...as well as all the know-how you need to start canning confidently at home! *A materials fee of $10 must be paid to the instructor on the first night of class.

Drawing tablets will be provided with Procreate and Procreate Dreams or feel free to bring your own device.

Join us for a lively one night workshop devoted to the magic of transparency and glow. From 4:30 to 8:00pm, we will dive into the art of glazing, showing you how to build luminous layers that shimmer with depth and richness. You will explore negative painting techniques that carve light out of color, turning simple shapes into striking compositions.

We will also play with color theory in hands on exercises designed to loosen you up and spark bold, confident choices. Think vibrant mixes, unexpected harmonies, and a few happy surprises along the way.

Night Club dancing is contagious: once you start, you might never want to stop. Dance develops balance and coordination, physical, mental, emotional, and social abilities. Come to exercise & meet new friends. In this class, we will go over: West Coast Swing, Night Club 2-Step, Kizomba. This class is open to all skill levels.

No experience needed — we’ll guide you through each step, from prepping the wood to applying the stencil and achieving the perfect distressed finish. By the end of class, you’ll take home a ready-to-hang custom sign that’s perfect for your home or as a handmade gift! A $25 materials fee is due to the instructor on night of class. Ottoman Edition! This hands-on workshop introduces students to some of the foundational skills of upholstery. Over the course of three classes, students will learn to transform a plain, wooden frame into a beautiful, custom ottoman. Through guided instruction, students will become familiar with a variety of upholstery tools and techniques. Students will also learn how to measure and cut cushioning materials, and properly assemble a finished ottoman. If you're looking to gain a new skill, this course provides a brief introduction to the art of upholstery. Course Highlights: + Learn how to transform a plain, wooden frame into usable furniture. + Hands-on practice with a variety of upholstery tools: pneumatic staple gun, rubber and wooden mallets, staple remover, pliers, and more. + Guidance on fabric selection, estimating, and manipulation. + Basic padding, assembly, and finishing. + Safety procedures and proper tool usage. Materials: Students will need to provide their own fabric. All other materials, including the ottoman frame, will be provided.
