Veterans! Come one – come all! Join usto learn about the three major departments within the Veterans Administration,with a focus on the Veterans Benefits Administration (VBA). Types of VA benefits, qualifying requirements (eligibility criteria), and the claims process for each will be explained. The recently implemented PACT Act greatly expanded the scope of medical conditions that are “presumptively” connected to service in certain areas. Whether you’ve been “in the system” for a while, or have yet to access VA for benefits or healthcare, please attend and learn what is out there for you! Spouses of veterans are welcome as well.

Come learn the basics of needle felting and make an adorable gnome about 6 inches tall that will fit in the palm of your hand! This course is designed for beginners, and those with needle felting experience are welcome. Fiber color options will be available to choose from, so you can customize your gnome to your liking. Materials Fee $15.00 to the instructor at the beginning of the class—cash or check. All materials will be provided. Storm make up date will be April 12, please mark your calendar just in case. Limit 10 students.

In this workshop, you'll explore textures and fold forming to create unique earrings. Templates will be provided to help you choose the shape, which you will then saw out of metal. After folding the metal in half, you'll gently hammer it to create a seam, then open it up again to texture the folded seam. Each student will also learn how to make small granules to solder onto the earrings for added design details. No experience is required, and all materials and supplies are included. The Pysanka, a decorated egg, was common among Slavic people as far back as 5,000 BC and was an important spring ritual. When decorating eggs in the Ukrainian style, designs are drawn on the egg with melted beeswax, which flows from a tool called a Kystka. The eggs are then dipped in a series of dyes and the final pattern is revealed when the wax is removed. Please bring reading glasses, if you use them. The instructor would like to encourage young people in this art form. Ages 8 to 16 are welcome to register with their participating parent or guardian. For a single adult Materials Fee is $20 and is payable to the instructor cash or check at the start of class. Families will be $20 per adult plus $5 per child. A storm make up will be April 12 from 10 to 12:30. When you register please reserve this time slot just in case of snow or slippery road conditions. Limit 18 students.
