This intermediate class will explore the vast variety of yoga poses based in Anusara yoga. Anusara is a modern form  of Hatha yoga that is heart-focused and alignment-based.  Hatha yoga means the yoga of force. Please bring a mat,  block, strap and blanket to class.

Have you ever wanted to make an impact in someone’s life?  Hospice volunteers bring comfort, companionship, friendship, and quality to the end days of our patients’ life.  If so, won’t you please join me for hospice volunteer training and become a certified hospice volunteer.  In our first class we will discuss the various ways you can make a difference and begin the application process, so bring your laptop, tablet, or smart phone to get started.   Then we will have 3 more live classes and 3 homework assignments to complete the training.

“The world is full of magical things, patiently waiting for our sensesto grow sharper.” (W.B. Yeats) All around us is the wider worldnature that often goes unseen and unheard. Awaken curiosityand explore your journey in nature through art and words. Usingcloth-bound journals and a variety of media and subjects, focusedon both the biological and artistic sides, you will create beauty asseen through your eyes. Found objects will be used for contourdrawing, cyanotypes, marbleizing, prints, sketches, poems, andother media. Please bring your own finds as well. Plan to ventureoutdoors for a portion of the time as weather permits, and wearcomfortable shoes! Ages 17+ are welcome. There will be a $20materials fee (cash or check only) due to the instructor at the startof the first class. Limit 10 students.

Acoustic Guitar W24

The guitar in all its versatility has become the world's most popular instrument. In this course for the total to slightly advanced beginner, we'll look at the range, octave, and the 16 chords you'll need to play a jillion songs including Christmas songs.

This class is intended for Adults, students aged 16+ with accompanying registered adults are welcome. We'll listen to, play, or discuss early Bob Dylan, Woody Guthrie, Rory Block, Iris DeMent, LeadBelly, early Stones, Beatles, Hank Williams, and more. We will read notes, and use a capo, by the 3rd class.

Some practice is required between classes. It is required that Registrants have their own Acoustic Guitars for class participation.

Dog & Cat First Aid

This training is to teach participants how to be prepared for emergencies that involve a cat or dog. The Cat and Dog First Aid training is approximately 3 hours and 30 minutes. The training will combine videos, lectures, interactive discussion, and hands-on practical. By the end of training participants will be able to do or understand the following: • What goes into a pet first aid kit • What is the normal physical condition, behaviors and habits of your pet • Identify a normal heart rate, breathing rate and temperature • How to safely approach an ill or injured cat or dog • How to capture and restrain a cat and muzzle a dog • Demonstrate how to perform bandaging for soft tissue injuries • Care for fractures including head and neck injuries • Learn how to care for an animal with heat/cold related emergencies • Check for breathing and cardiac emergencies • Understand how to give rescue breathing and perform CPR for a dog or cat

Gentle Yoga Stretch

This class is for those wanting a gentle yoga stretch, at a slow pace. We mindfully and safely encourage our muscle tissues to deeply lengthen and stretch, increasing range of motion and flexibility. We give intention to our breath and awareness to how it connects our mind to our body. This class is designed for those just getting back in to moving their bodies, as well as, seasoned yogis looking for a mild, full body stretch. ***NO CLASS: 4/16.
