It takes EMS an average of 7 minutes to respond to an emergency. The general public are usually the first ones on scene and this class will teach you skills to help an injured person until first responders arrive. We will cover Hands-only CPR and AED, administering nalozone, using an EPI pen, bleeding control and moving patients. These skills will give you the knowledge and confidence to help someone in an emergency when you are the First on the Scene. This is a one night class.

Spice up your life and the dance floor with this Latin Ballroom dance class! Learn the basics and technique of the Cha Cha, Salsa, Rhumba, and Jive ballroom dances. No experience or partner necessary. Please wear comfortable, moveable clothing and sneakers or Latin practice shoes. Next stop...Dancing With the Stars! Class is held at Foley's Gym in Scarborough. Amanda has over 4 years of training and partnering with professional dancers at ProDanceLA in Los Angeles. She achieved Gold Level in international Latin Ballroom Dance, and has been teaching since 2021.

Join us April 26-28 for the, 2024 for the annual “Three Million Daffodil Celebration” on Nantucket. We will depart Portland, Maine, head south and spend 2 nights in Hyannis. Saturday we’ll hop on the high-speed ferry (across the street from our hotel) to Nantucket Island for the annual Daffodil Festival on Saturday. Enjoy the Daffodil Festival’s grand event - the Annual Antique Car Parade, which features over 100 daffodil-bedecked vintage cars. Wear your daffy hat, watch the car parade and welcome spring!

Minimum: 25 Participants; required to guarantee this departure. Maximum: 48

Includes:
Transportation (Roundtrip deluxe motorcoach transportation from Portland (and points south) to Hyannis, Cape Cod, MA).
•Tours Visits to Sandwich Glass Museum and Harvard Museum of Natural History Glass Flower Display).

APRIL 26 8:30am-4:30pm BHP IN PERSON LIVE DAY!

Our community is looking for individuals who want to make a difference in a child’s life.

A Certified Behavioral Health Professional (BHP) makes an impact on a child while helping them learn to grow and develop. This BLENDED training program (online modules and a live, instructor-led, virtual session) will equip you with ways to help children who are in need of services and will also prepare you for employment through local social services agencies.

Work at your own pace completing 12 online modules prior to attending the live sessions, including the new ethics and boundaries training. Once the modules and live sessions are completed, you will receive links to bloodborne pathogen training and Child and Adult First Aid & CPR training. The entire program requirements will take about 45 hours to complete. Individuals must be 18 years of age with a high school diploma or equivalent to register.

MSAD 52 & Woodfords are partnering to offer this course.

Tai Yoga Flow - 6 weeks - In-Person Class

In this 45 minute Tai Chi for Health and Gentle Yoga inspired class, you will perform at a slower pace, with less intense positions and it includes extended time for meditation, yogic breath work, and relaxation. Regular practice can increase flexibility and strength, balance, and overall well-being. The emphasis on posture means that it can instill a greater awareness of the body and how it moves through space.

Yogalates Fusion-Yoga infused Pilates on and off the Mat! - 6 weeks In-Person Class 

Strength is important. It allows us to perform all the activities we love for the rest of our lives. By focusing on our core, we can access the muscles that support our bodies. "Studying the practice founded by Joseph Pilates, we look at how to incorporate these movements and exercises into a yoga/Pilates fusion class that will strengthen the body, increase flexibility and improve our balance. Classes can be done with body weight exercises or with light weights if you would like to bring your own. Some exercise bands will be available to use as well.

Sourdough for Beginner's

If you have wanted to start making sourdough but didn't know where to start, or if you almost started but got overwhelmed with the process, come join me for a Sourdough Beginners class!

This two part class will allow you to bake a sourdough boule from start to finish as well as learning how to feed and maintain your starter.  You will be leaving with an established starter and your sourdough boule, along with a packet with the boule recipe we will be using, discard recipes, and helpful tips and tricks.

*We will be learning how to bake the loaf open-bake, but we will discuss baking in a dutch oven during class as this is the ideal method*
