Yamuna Body Rolling

with Tracey DuBois, Windham/Raymond Adult Education

Calendar Dec 15, 2022 at 5 pm, runs for 1 week

Don't let past injuried, pain or limited range of motion keep you from your fitness goals.  Yamuna® Body Rolling is a modality that uses balls of different sizes and densities to target superficial skin, fascia, muscle fibers, tendons, ligaments, bones, internal organs and the nervous system.  This work creates length and strength to the tissues, creates space in the body, increases circulation, and improves range of motion.  This body sustainablility program is for all levels and gives people distinct methods to work on themselves in order to sustain their postures, flexibilities, strengths, and alignments throughout their lives.

  • Healthy, Happy Hips
The hips are on of the most used and troubling joints in the body, bringing tightness and stiffness with age.  We will work to release the muscles of the pelvis around the hip joint including psoas, the glutes and external rotators.  Intergrating these routines into your life will help to prevent the breakdown of the hip joint and keep your hips healthy for years to come.

    Section 1: Thursday, 9/22, 5:00 - 6:30 PM
    Section 2: Thursday, 11/17, 5:00 - 6:30 PM
    Instructor: Tracey Dubois
    Location: WMS Library
    Fee: $20 per section

  • Free Your Shoulders
Most problems in the shoulder involve the muscles, ligaments, and tendons, rather than the bones.  Repetitive use and age can place wear and tear on the muscles that make up the rotator cuff.  We will work to open the chest and create space in the shoulders.

    Section 1: Thursday, 10/27, 5:00 - 6:30 PM
    Section 2: Thursday, 12/15, 5:00 - 6:30 PM
    Instructor: Tracey Dubois

    Fee: $20 per section

*For both workshops, please wear athletic clothing and bring your own yoga mat.  Yamuna® balls will be provided by the instructor.
