Indoor Walking Trails and Fitness Stations

This high intensity aerobic workout will give you a great opportunity for aerobic exercise through guided routines building on four basic punches and four basic kicks. Some core strength building will also be included. All experience levels are welcome.

A mixture of tennis, ping pong, badminton and “staying out of the kitchen,” Pickleball is a paddle sport designed for all ages and levels and is quickly gaining popularity! The rules are simple and the game is easy to learn. Join this group of friendly players who encouraged us to bring pickleball to NACE and will teach you how to play. Please carry in your sneakers.

Tai Chi is a form of exercise that combines breathing techniques and slow, deliberate movements intended to improve health and muscle tone.  Practicing the gentle movements of Tai Chi can calm the mind, strengthen the body, and improve balance.  Let Chris be your guide as you work alongside her toward a more peaceful and flexible self.  Chris has been an active participant in Tai Chi for over 12 years. For ALL ages and fitness levels – but a favorite with our Seniors! Tuesdays 3:45pm – 4:45pm.  Registration: $80. Drop-ins are welcome at $5 per class.

Evening Indoor Walking Program

Are you looking for a dry, safe, and well-lit place to walk? Join us for a healthy way to keep fit. A walking clinic will kick off the program providing information on techniques, proper stretching, goal setting, and record keeping. Information night for new participants is Monday, 1/27, 5:30 - 6:30 PM in the high school cafeteria. No need to attend if you have previously participated in the walking program. Families are welcome to walk from 3:00 - 6:00 PM after the intro night. The nominal fee covers the entire semester! Kids are free. No access 2/17 thru 2/20, 4/20 thru 4/23, 5/25.

Banish boredom and boost motivation. Because walking is possible for most people and doesn’t require special skills or equipment, it has become the most popular form of activity in the US. Walking with others is a great way to socialize and get healthier, but also hold you accountable, is safer and motivating.

Join us for an orientation night on Monday, January 27th at 6:00pm in the GNG Adult Education office at GNG High School.

Once you learn the route, you’ll be set free to walk at your pace. We highly recommend you bring a buddy to keep you motivated to continue!

Give yourself the gift of a one hour and 15 minute Yoga practice to calm your mind while stretching and strengthening your body! After warming up, we will practice seated and standing postures, bends, twists, balancing postures and inversions. Poses can be modified for different levels of flexibility and experience. Martha is a Certified Yoga Instructor. Please dress comfortably in clothing that allows you to stretch; bring water, a blanket and a mat if you have one. Mondays, January 27 through May 18, 6:15 – 7:30pm. Registration: $100. Walk-ins are welcome at $8 per class.
