YIN Yoga Nidra Session 3

$40

with Mary Schwoerer, Wells-Ogunquit Adult Community Education

Calendar Dec 4, 2021 at 9 am, runs for 4 weeks

YIN-Yoga- Nidra reduces pain. This unique class focuses on unwinding tension in the body & mind. Yin Yoga is about stretching and applying gentle pressure to certain tissues. Longer held postures support your body in deep rest that restores balance & stimulates deep healing. This class is RESTORATIVE, allowing time for muscles to relax, joints to open & fascia to release long held tensions. In addition, we hold acupoints to bring balance & ease of flow to mind/body. Yoga Nidra literally means “yogic sleep”. This ancient technique uses guided meditations to bring you into deep states of conscious relaxation. Yoga Nidra is an effective method for relieving stress & easing anxiety. It is a systematic practice of moving awareness from our external world to the inner world; allowing the body & mind to restore, rest & heal deeply. Yoga Nidra is done lying down in stillness while Mary guides you into bliss. Wear comfortable clothing & bring your pillows, mat & blanket for a restorative experience you will delight in - all in the comfort of your home.
