Renter Rights

  Do you rent in Sanford?  Renting comes with a lot of complicated questions unlike those of homeowners. What if your rental needs repairs?  Is there a time-line for when those repairs need to be done?  What about security deposits? How can you make sure you get yours back?  Bring your questions!  Pre-registration required.

Monetary course fee is waived for this session; please bring a donation of hats/scarves/gloves/mittens to donate to local folks in need.

Introduction to Microsoft Office Suite 2016

This course will cover Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Publisher. This class is perfect for those wishing to gain computer skills for career advancement, or just for personal enrichment. This class is for beginners. This class is taught in the SAHS Computer Lab on desktop computers using Microsoft Office 2016. You are welcome to bring your own PC laptop to class.

Participants should have a basic knowledge of the keyboard. BRING THUMBDRIVE or FLASHDRIVE to save work.

Crossbow Hunter Safety

This course is being taught by a trained, certified volunteer instructor according to statewide standards. Russell will cover basic knowledge of bow hunting and safety skills. This classroom course consists of 5 hours of classroom instruction. Students must demonstrate to the instructor that they can safely handle a crossbow, participate in activities and pass a 50 question test with a grade of at least 70%. PREREQUISITE: Bow Hunter Safety Course

Maine Driving Dynamics

**If you are 65 or older Please use Maine Driving Dynamics for Seniors class to sign up. There is a discount for seniors**

The Maine Driving Dynamics course is a driver improvement course that is aimed to improve a student’s defensive driving awareness and abilities. This five-hour course includes discussion of collision avoidance techniques, safety issues, driver habits and attitudes, and the basic elements that constantly challenge drivers on Maine’s highways. Our goal is to save lives, prevent injuries, and reduce vehicle-related crashes. The course may be taken for point reduction only once every 365 days. Students who successfully complete the course will receive a three-point credit on their driving record.

This is a 2 night class. You must be present at both nights to successfully complete class.


Becoming a Notary

Painted Pinecone Glassware

Make your occasions or the everyday more special with personalized glassware. Learn easy one stroke painting techniques to make a pinecone motif with enamel paint specifically designed for painting glass. 

Workshop fee includes all materials to make a set of 2 stemless wine glasses.

Taught by Certified Art Night Out Instructors. Art Night Out Instructors are experienced artists who provide a relaxed atmosphere, lots of support and quality materials/tools to ensure a positive experience. Leave class with new skills and an amazing piece you created yourself.
