Springy Easter Wreath

Join us for a fun night of creativity and take home an beautiful adornment for your front door or a wall in your home. If you have a small figurine or stuffed animal you’d like to showcase in your creation, please bring it!  Shelby will provide 12” wreath forms, tulle, and various seasonal decorations.  (Materials fee $30 payable to the instructor at class.)  If you have a low-temp hot glue gun (with glue sticks), bring it!  Our supply is somewhat limited.

The Amazon is one of the longest rivers in the world and by far the largest in volume.  We will travel via islands in the Caribbean, cross the equator and then Journey 1000 miles up the river, making 6 stops along the way.  These include two indigenous communities and the capital of Amazonia, Manaus, with its magnificent theater in the heart of the rain forest.

Ballroom Review

Family Book Club


with Five Town CSD Adult & Community Education

This new book club is brought to our communities through a collaboration with the Maine Humanities Council. The club introduces books at various and accessible reading levels to open up the world of books and ideas. Participants engage in facilitated discussions that relate a book’s themes to their own lives. Parents, grandparents, and adults are then encouraged to bring these books home to children and youth to help foster a love of reading. Participants are given a copy of every book in the series to keep and to share with family and friends. This club will meet twice in March and twice in April. If you would like to participate, please call our office for more information.

American Red Cross First Aid-Session 1

Lighthouse Health and Safety brings you this one-night American Red Cross course. This will prepare you to recognize and carefor a variety of emergencies including breathing and cardiac emergencies, burns, cuts, heat and cold emergencies, stroke, diabetic emergencies and other sudden illnesses and meets OSHA requirements. Students who successfully complete this coursewill receive an American Red Cross certificate valid for two years. Minimum of five per session.

This course will focus on such topics as "First Contacts", Objects at Home and in the Household", "Food and Drinks", "Free time" and "My House". Learners will work on statements, imperative sentences with Sie, verb conjugation in the present tense, negation, articles, German noun cases, modal verbs, numbers, time and place indicators. Textbook fee of $25.00 is payable to the instructor.
