Learn to play the ukulele! It has never been more popular and you don't even have to know how to read music! On the uke you can knock out folk music, rock, blues, jazz, pop, country, tunes old and new -- even classical music. Duncan Perry, who has taught more than 1,000 students of all ages, will introduce you to essential chords and playing techniques using commonly known songs. Oh, and there are lots of laughs along the way. And, learning to play an instrument is good for your brain! You will need a playable ukulele and an electronic tuner or a tuner app. And when folks hear you play this happy instrument, well, they just have to smile! In this class we will be painting a wooded scene with beautiful white birch trees. The cool air and colorful leaves will be sure to get you in the mood for this upcoming fall season. No Prior experience is necessary; Shirley welcomes beginners with open arms. Whether you’re a seasoned artist or picking up a brush for the first time you’ll find this to be a fun and engaging class. Canvas and paints are supplied.

Explore your creativity through layering paper, paint, trimmings and other found objects in this hands-on collage class. Learn composition, texture, and basic mixed media techniques to create a unique, Christmas tree-themed art canvas to keep or to give as a gift. Introducing the fundamentals of 3D Printing for the hobbyist. This class will provide an understanding of the basic workflow, key components and available resources to get you started. Our class will be broken down into easy-to-understand language plus we will have 3, 3D printers on site to provide demonstrations throughout our course. If you are considering a 3D printer or an interesting hobby, this class is for you. Stepping into the future where your imagination is unlimited.

NACE is excited to welcome author Author Ash to our Annual Family Literacy Pajama Party! Wear your PJs and bring the whole family to this FREE, fun-filled event that will include coloring, a fun craft, and a reading of Ash’s book “The Ordinary Snowflake!"

The PJ Party will be held at the Paul Johnson Library located within Noble High School.

Meet Author Ash!
Ashlee, aka Author Ash is an award-winning children’s book author of many fun, interactive, and engaging picture books! As a former kindergarten teacher who continues to teach part-time in her town’s elementary school, she loves to combine her love for literacy and children through writing stories that both touch on important topics in childhood and are FUN! She lives in our district (Lebanon) with her husband, Nate, and two children, Josh and Avery. Her love for children’s literature started early through her mother, who also taught in our district for over 20 years! She remembers the magic of read-alouds and the creativity it sparked. She then shared that passion with her own children and later with her students. Through her books, she hopes to share the magic, creativity, and FUN of children’s literature with others.
