If you have had flat or tough dry scones this might be just the class you have been waiting for. Deb will show you step by step how to make light and tender Chocolate Cherry Scones, Apricot Ginger Scones and Bacon, Cheddar, Chive Scones as well as classic Basic Scones. This class will be participatory and samples of all items will be tasted and the rest divided among the class. Soooo...get a friend to sign up with you and enjoy the evening! Remember to bring a container to store all that you will take home. Class size limited to 12. All materials included.

There is still a lot of misunderstanding and misinformation about Maine's compassionate end-of-life care option. Many providers and patients in Maine are still not familiar with Maine's Death with Dignity Act. In effect since September 2019, the law permits physicians to practice medical aid-in-dying under specific circumstances. Know the facts and, if qualified, the right to access medical aid in dying if they choose. Join this class to get fact-based information and all the details you need to know about Maine's law, how to have the conversation with your physician, and how to qualify for the law or support your loved one who may be qualifying. (No materials/supplies required).

Pickleball for Intermediates

Focus on play from the kitchen line, when to use defensive shots and when to attack. Work on developing consistency in all elements of your game. Please bring your own paddles. All classes will be held on the Neptune Courts at 74 Neptune Drive at Brunswick Landing. Instructor Barbara Rondeau is a former tennis pro who took up Pickleball 8 years ago and has been teaching ever since. This class includes 5 sessions.

ServSafe Food Handler

This class is presented by NE Food Safety. Learn what you need to stay safe, keep customers safe and pass the CFPM exam. All key points are covered, from cleaning and sanitization to cooking temperatures, purchasing, and proper methods of food preparation and delivery. Price includes unlimited practice questions, book, class, and proctored exam. Students will be taught information in a variety of manners, including an exciting round of Food Jeopardy. Your instructor will be bilingual (Spanish/English), with over a decade of experience instructing adult learners at hospitals, VAs, colleges and universities, restaurants and hotels, and more. Upon completion of this course participants will receive a certificate of completion. *This certification program runs concurrently with the food manager class. Students may opt to take the food manager exam during the last night, on 4/29 if they desire.
