Cape Cod Knot Bracelet

If you love locking bracelets, this project is perfect for you! In this workshop, each student will learn how to measure their wrist and fabricate a beautiful bracelet. We'll cover several soldering techniques to assemble the bracelet. The class includes a demonstration and ample work time to fabricate and polish your piece. No experience is required, and all materials and supplies are provided. Join us and create a stunning locking bracelet from start to finish! Instructor: Alice Carroll

Seize the opportunity to create beautiful handcrafted paper bowls! These unique bowls make fantastic presents or home décor. Decorative papers, handmade papers and adhesive are provided. Bring a small plastic cereal bowl.
Gayle Fitzpatrick has taught in public and private schools, colleges and adult and community programs for 30+ years. She is a practicing artist, producing and showing paper, print, and painted pieces.

Monthly Meditation Circle Session III

You're invited to join this guided meditation where you will be led to focus on breath and energy centers (chakras). The intention or theme will change each month depending on the time of the month or year (i.e., moon phase, equinox, solstice, etc.), with an emphasis being on sending out love and healing to the world. This is a free event. Elissa Nauman, MS, is the founder of Restoring Through Nature, LLC. She guides clients to achieve their physical, emotional, and spiritual health goals through the support of essential oils and energy work (Reiki and IET). She has a Master of Science in Counseling and is certified in essential oils coaching, Usui Reiki Level 2, Integrated Energy Therapy, Reiki Crystal Healing and is also a Certified Chakra Therapist.

Pottery; Utensil Holder
with Joshua Rysted, MSAD#44 Adult & Continuing Education
Organize that mess of wooden spoons and spatulas into a handsome countertop utensil holder. In this one-day course, you will use slabs of clay to hand build a large utensil holder. The slabs can be textured and a plaque with your last name or short phrase can be added to personalize your piece. Your finished project will be glazed in your choice of color and ready for pick up approximately two weeks after class. The piece is microwave and dishwasher safe. No previous clay experience is required for this class. All tools and supplies will be provided by the clay studio.

The Dramatic Watercolor Still Life
with Deena Ball, Merrymeeting Community & Adult Education
Spend your day painting a dramatically lit still life. In a step-by-step manner, students will design the still life, create an effective composition, and select a color and value palette. The workshop will detail techniques for creating luminous darks, managing edges, texturing, and maintaining color harmony. By the end, students will not only gain new technical skills, but also appreciate the use of dramatic lighting in still life painting. Please note: This is a one day 7-hour workshop with a brief break for lunch. Bring your own lunch/snacks. Students should bring their own watercolor supplies which should be of professional grade, all cotton 300 lb watercolor paper, large excellent brushes and professional grade tube watercolors. In addition, please bring several small jars for mixing pouring options.
