iPhone Basics

Learn how to log on using multiple methods from passcode to touch id and face recognition technology. Apple’s iCloud service will be discussed as the benefits of this service help secure your data as well as allow your data to be used across multiple Apple devices. A Library of Hand Bound Books
with Gayle Fitzpatrick, Kittery Adult Education
In this class, students will create 6 book structures: a simple pamphlet book a Japanese Stab Bound book, a basic Codex, a hard cover accordion book, a hard cover book with signatures sewn on tapes, and flutter books. Class will focus on the techniques, structures, tools, materials and processes.

Buying your first house is truly a big deal! Our friends at KVCAP can help you understand the process.
In this 8-hour, in-person class, KVCAP covers everything you need to know about the home-buying process and owning your home going forward. KVCAP teaches you the steps involving shopping for a home, mortgage lender and real estate broker, obtaining a mortgage loan, the importance of home inspections. The class also covers improving your budget and credit profiles and how to maintain your home and finances after the purchase so that you can protect and grow your investment. The class reviews how to avoid falling victim to scams too.
Participants who complete all 8 hours are eligible for A Homebuyers Education Certificate. The certificate can help you access down payment assistance or mortgage products that require HUD-certified homebuyer’s education. It’s good for TWO years with most lenders!

Farmers Market Basket/Harvest Basket Combo

nterested in gathering your vegetables or apples in a basket this year? A basket that you made? Everyone is welcome to join this class, but if you have never weaved before, Jes will be doing step-by-step directions. The basket will be a square-round basket with leather bushed basket handles. The material is flat and halfround quality reed. We will also add blue, purple, red, green, and brown reed in the basket, if desired.

Many people have vision issues. A variety of iPhone/iPad settings allow you to use your device more easily when vision challenges arise. In this course, you will learn where to find vision accessibility options and how to use them. The vision accessibility features are identical on the iPhone and iPad except in a couple of noted instances.
Basic Math

This course will cover basic operation, fractions, decimals, percents, rates, ratios, proportions, order of operations, problem solving, measurements, intro to geometry and intro to algebra.
