Oyster Farm and Complimentary Tasting Sea Kayak Tour
with Alice Bean Andrenyak, Merrymeeting Community & Adult Education

Join Master Maine Guide Alice starting early morning to avoid the winds on Mere Point Bay. While we’re paddling in solo and tandem sea kayaks, you’ll learn about aquaculture in Maine – fishing, clamming, scallop and oyster farming. You’ll learn about the area’s natural and human history. We’ll be visiting an oyster farm and then land on an island where you’ll learn to shuck oysters and then taste your success. This tour is beginner and family friendly. Sea kayaks, life jackets, and paddles are provided. You provide water and snacks. We meet at 8:15am and return about noon.
Summer Animation Camp

Ages: 13 - 17
Come join us for a week of Animation! Bring your imagination to life with traditional frame by frame animation alongside cutting edge digital animation software. Learn from professional new media artist and educator Andrew Elijah Edwards and create your own custom animation project from start to finish while playing with the artform. Discover and explore the fundamental concepts behind professional animation techniques and explore the medium of moving images in this week long adventure!! ***Ages 13-17.

Hornet Pride Football Camp
with Michael Hathaway, MSAD 52 Adult & Community Education

Players will learn the fundamentals of the game from Leavitt's coaching staff and players. Players will wear helmet & shoulder pads the first two days and full gear the final two days. TAA will hand out equipment and mouthpieces prior to the camp.
This camp is for players entering grades 3-6th.

Certified Residential Medication Aide (CRMA) - August 2025
with Terry Adkins, Mid-Coast School of Technology Adult Education

This 40-hour CRMA course includes classroom training, with clinical available after successful completion of classroom. All students must complete clinical, either with our instructor or arranged through your facility. Successful students will be certified to administer oral medications to residents in state-licensed assisted living facilities. Clinical component is an additional $125 if done with MCST instructor. There are funding opportunities available for this class.
OLD TIME NEW ENGLAND BARN DANCE, August 2

The Sacopee Valley Rec Council and Senior Central is again sponsoring this FREE and FUN event this fall at Pike Hall in Cornish from 7-9 p.m. What a fun and festive way to get out, meet friends, and get moving! All ages are welcome...You can't be too old or too young! This event is free, but donations are always welcome.

Pickleball Taster Section 6
with Andra Yanchenko, Old Orchard Beach/Saco Adult Education

Is Pickleball for you? Join us for the basics for those new to the game and absolute beginners. Learn the rules of scoring, court basics, the non-volley zone, common terms, faults, hot tips, and serving–the most significant difference from tennis.
Registration closes 7/30; no refunds, credits, or transfers after registration closes or if class runs on scheduled rain date.
Students will be notified, via text, of weather postponements the morning of class. Rain date 8/10.
Bring a pickleball paddle, 2 balls marked with your name (approx. $15-$40 on Amazon), and water. Wear weather-appropriate activewear, tennis shoes.
Andra Yanchenko specializes in fitness, functional movement, and racquet sports. She is a NASM Certified Personal Trainer, ACE Health Coach, USTA, USPTA, PTR Coach, and YogaFit Instructor.
