Join Ed Higgins for a FREE Life Drawing class! Work from live (clothed) models to develop and reinforce drawing skills related to the human form.

Registration is required, attendees are encouraged to tip the model at the end of each class. *No Meetups on the following dates: 4/20 & 5/25.

Designed for beginners, we will have you speaking and reading Spanish in no time. You will practice the basic building blocks of the language and common idiomatic expressions. You will know enough vocabulary and grammar for simple conversations, and you will learn how to ask and answer questions.  Whether you speak some Spanish and need a refresher, or no Spanish, you will complete the course with the skills to communicate in Spanish.

Join us for a class in Hatha Yoga led by certified instructor, Nancy Cotty from Peace Within Yoga. Yoga is a great way to relax and improve your health and well being. The focus will be on stretching and breathing while building our strength and finding peace. All levels are welcome. Drop-ins are welcome and new students can join anytime. Your instructor, Chris Toy is the author of 6 popular cookbooks, a private chef, and has taught Asian-fusion cooking for several Maine community education programs. Cooking students will learn how to prepare a variety of recipes from Asia, Europe, and the Americas incorporating traditional and local ingredients. Bring a sketchbook and pencil and join us for an afternoon of drawing in one of Maine's fabulous museums. Forge an intimate connection with museum collections, while improving your own work by studying the techniques of the masters. Guidance and critical feedback are provided as needed. At the end of our visit, we will meet up to share our results with the group. Museum admission is included in fee. Participants will meet at the museum.

The Maine Driving Dynamics course is a driver improvement course that is designed to improve a student’s defensive driving awareness. This five-hour course includes discussion of collision avoidance techniques, safety issues, driver habits and attitudes, and the basic elements that constantly challenge drivers on Maine’s highways. Our goal is to save lives, prevent injuries, and reduce vehicle-related crashes. A student who completes the course will receive a three-point credit on their driving record and may be eligible for insurance discount.
