You will know enough vocabulary and grammar for simple conversations, and you will learn how to ask and answer questions.  Whether you speak some Spanish and need a refresher, or no Spanish, you will complete the course with the skills to communicate in Spanish.

Beginner Line Dancing to Rock/Pop Songs

This is a beginner/slightly intermediate class that does not increase in difficulty. It focuses on everyone meeting for community and having fun. I choreograph light and easy, short dances to 80’s through current rock/pop songs. We break them down, then rehearse them 3-4 times before doing it to music. We usually get through 4 or 5 dances in one hour. The goal is to experience the basics of line dancing with confidence, relaxation, and joy. *This program runs for 3 weeks per session on the specified dates: 3/17, 3/24, 3/31 (March Session); 4/14, 4/21, 4/28 (April Session) and 6/9, 6/16, 6/23 (June Session).

E-BIRD, MERLIN, I-NATURALIST WORKSHOP

Whooo’s out there??? What is that plant? How to use E-bird, Merlin, and iNaturalist. Great Works Regional Land Trust is off ering a one-night class designed to help you use technology to identify birds, plants, and wildlife in your own backyard. Th is class will be followed up with a weekend hike on one of GWRLT’s public preserves in the school district region. Learn how to navigate and store your data on E-Bird and iNaturalist. Use Merlin in real time to identify birdsong and connect what you hear to what you see. Whether in your backyard or deep in the woods, you can track your wildlife adventures by place and by date. Participants should bring their smartphones to download apps they choose to use. Th is workshop will be followed by a walk on a GWRLT property the following Saturday (Sunday rain date).
