Bringing Community Together, One Step At A Time

Since 2001, we have opened our doors to welcome community members to walk our multiple indoor and outdoor walking routes throughout the Noble High School property. Indoor routes range from 1/3 to 1/2 mile. If you’re up for a challenge, you have the option of including stairs in your workout. The outdoor routes are about a mile in distance. This is a great way to get in some exercise, especially during the cold New England months. Bring a friend or come as a family. All are welcome! Not to mention, joining is FREE!

To join, just drop by the main office to sign in and pick up a name tag. When you're done, you just sign out and drop off your name tag. Join the fun and become a Noble Strider!

**IF you are thinking of walking during one of the schools vacation weeks, please call the office ahead of time to make sure Striders will be taking place.

Families who play together, stay together. Whether you have had marital arts training or are just a beginner, all families are welcome to this fun, stress-free marital arts class! Based on World Tang Soo Do, Jessica Peck-Lindsey will guide participants through gentle therapeutic exercises that lead up to focus work and traditional forms. Learn a new way to move, together! No prior martial arts training is necessary. Classes are designed to meet the expereince level of participant from beginner to advanced. No class 10/12.

Every girl deserves at least one dress. Since October 2009, "Dress A Girl Around The World" has reached over 81 countries with a recorded number of over one million dresses delivered to girls in need around the world. Recently, we spoke with the Maine DAG Ambassador, Jane, who is in need of help with sewing menstral pads and dresses for girls in need.

We will be holding 9 sewing dates for those who are interested in volunteering their time to sew. You can stay the whole time or for a few hours; any help is appreciated. If there are more requests for sewing days, we will update that information on our website and social media. Feel free to bring a lunch with you; the sewing room at NACE has a refrigerator you can keep your food/drinks in.

Join us for a class in Hatha Yoga led by certified instructor, Nancy Cotty from Peace Within Yoga. Yoga is a great way to relax and improve your health and well being. The focus will be on stretching and breathing while building our strength and finding peace. All levels are welcome. Drop-ins are welcome and new students can join anytime. All equipment will be provided for you. Information learned through yoga classes and workshops should not be considered a substitute for medical advice.

Music has been part of the human story for as long as we have recorded history. It has become such a regular part of our lives that we can take it for granted. This course explores what music is and why it’s made, connecting different styles from across time and the globe.

These one-day workshops are designed to introduce students to the corresponding 5wk courses. Though these workshops are not a prerequisite for the courses, it is an opportunity to meet the instructor and preview lesson plans before committing to the full class. You will work from a live (clothed) model, starting with shorter gesture poses to loosen up, followed by longer poses. There is no better way to learn to draw the human form than to work with a live model. This is not a media dependent class. You may work with any media you prefer. The instructor will supply paper and pencils, conté crayons or charcoal, or you can bring your own. The instructor recommends an easel, but only has 3 or 4 for use. In addition to the registration fee, you will be expected to tip the model at the end of each class (all models accept cash or Venmo). Using broken pottery, recycled glass and other found object materials we will make truly one of a kind mosaic creations. Bring a nature photo for inspiration or take the abstract path. The first two classes will be for breaking plates, designing and gluing mosaics. The third class will be finishing with grout. Tools provided for in class use. A material fee of $20 must be paid to the instructor on the first night of class. Material fee includes substrate, glue and grout. Please bring in any chipped or thrifted plates, pots, shells, rocks etc to use in your mosaic. If it’s waterproof it can be used in a mosaic! Great for beginners or those with mosaic experience!
