Knitting - 6 Weeks

 Join us for a fun, no pressure knitting experience! This 6-week knitting class is great for not only beginners, but for anyone who may be a little rusty. You'll learn how to cast on, master the basic and purl stitches, learn some tips and tricks on repairing mistakes, and learn how to read a pattern! Vicky is a passionate knitter and always makes classes fun for her students. 

Materials to bring to class: 
• Size 7 Knitting Needles
• 1 pair of small scissors
• Tape measure
• 1 light color Supersaver Red Heart Yarn (7 Ounces)


Cant make a full session? Student drop-ins are welcome! Drop-In fee is $13 per class.

Learn and practice a variety of techniques and approaches  specific to watercolor painting. Whether a beginner or experienced, enjoy a relaxing and supportive environment to  paint from references, still life objects and observation. You  will receive feedback and see what others are working on.  Bring ideas for projects to class for instruction tailored to  your needs, or participate in guided exercises to gain a deeper  understanding of this medium. You may bring your own  supplies, if you prefer to purchase your own supplies, please  request a materials list at registration.

Illustrating the Maine Coast with Watercolor and Ink

Calendar May 23, 2026 at 10 am, runs for 1 week

Illustrate Maine’s beautiful coastline with pen and ink and watercolor. This all-levels class begins with studio time to learn techniques, then heads outside to the Maine coast to capture the landscape. The process will be broken down into simple steps, and everyone will leave with their own unique study of the coastline. In the event of inclement weather, the workshop will be held inside. Students must plan to drive themselves to the second location. Students can purchase materials to use during the class for $23, or buy themselves the required materials - the materials list is linked here. Pre-made material kits are available from the Mix, an art store in Brunswick (here is a link to a student-grade kit, and here is a link to an artist-grade kit). Candle Dipping

Come spend a relaxing Saturday morning making beautiful beeswax candles. We will be hand-dipping taper candles of your chosen shape and color design. Join us for this slow yet oh-so rewarding traditional craft! A $10 materials fee, payable to the instructor, must be paid the night of class.

Spring Ceramics Open Studio

Calendar May 25, 2026 at 5 pm

Come join us as we explore the wonders of clay! You will develop and use it to create unique pieces of your own design through a variety of techniques. You will be encouraged to try the manual and electric wheels, roller, carving tools, and beautiful glazes to bring the pieces you imagine to life. Beginners to experts welcome.

Class scheduled as follows;
Classes 1-4: For creation
Class 5: Prepping pieces for firing
Class 6: Glazing pieces

Due to a couple of Mondays not being available to class, those classes will be held on Tuesday. Class will take place on the following days: 
Class 1 - Tuesday, May 26th
Class 2 - Monday, June 1
Class 3 - Monday, June 8
Class 4 - Tuesday, June 16
Class 5 - Monday, June 22
Class 6 - Monday, June 29 ( final class ) 

Clay and glaze cost is $45 due to the instructor at the first class.

There is a max of 15 students per session.

Beginning Ceramics

Ever wanted to take some time for yourself and play with clay? Learn the basics of hand building and wheel throwing in this 6 week class. This class is geared toward the beginner. The first 10 people to sign up have priority on the wheel. Please let admins know if you prefer to hand build or wheel throw so we can keep an accurate account. Glazing will also be covered so that you can leave with finished pieces. $65 materials fee is due to the instructor on the first night of class. *Purchasing additional clay: The fee is an additional $65 to cover the firing, glazes and other consumables used during class. Please note: If you miss a class, you cannot make-up the class at another time. The ceramics schedule is very tight and these classes are usually full.
