CPR
with Charissa Kerr, Windham/Raymond Adult Education
Learn about adult, child and infant CPR and AED use, adult, child and infant choking, and how and when to call emergency services. Course includes use of manikins, video, certified instruction, practical components, and a certificate of completion. Practical time has been increased to ensure you have enough time to gain confidence in your skills. Optional workbook is available for $10 (cash please) from instructor at class.

Knitting Basics (2 weeks)
with Victoria Vaughn, Sanford Community Adult Education
Ideal for beginning or "rusty" knitters. Casting on, ending a project, and repairing mistakes will be covered, as well as mastery of the basic knit and purl stitches, the foundation of all knitting.
This class is a short three-week class. All levels of ability are welcome! Bring size 7 knitting needles, 1 light color Supersaver Red heart yarn (7 ounces), 1 small pair of scissors, and a tape measure.
Can't make a full session? Student drop-ins are welcome!
Drop-In fee is $15 per class.

The Science of Happiness

Investigate the science of happiness. Discuss and participate in activities like mindfulness, gratitude and compassion, which have been shown to improve people's happiness and general well being. Make use of science to have a happier, more fulfilling life!
Heather Edgerly holds a Master's in Buddhist Studies and is a certified Fluid Yoga (RYT 200) and Yoga4Cancer teacher. She teaches Buddhism, meditation, and mindful movement classes.

Yoga helps with stress relief; better breathing; increase in strength and flexibility; improved circulation; cardiovascular conditioning; inner peace and more. (All classes will be designed to meet the needs of Beginning yogis and Advanced Beginners practicing yoga). Bring a mat and wear comfortable clothes.

Spanish - Advanced

Advanced Beginner Spanish is for those who are ready to move on from the intermediate and Continuing classes. Textbook fee of $15 is payable to instructor at the first class, if you are continuing from an earlier class you will be using the same book. Class skips 5/27.
CNA Apprenticeship - May 2024

CLC Adult Education and LincolnHealth co-sponsor a FREE 130-hour minimum Certified Nursing Assistant training course. This CNA program is open to all adults by application only. Successful graduates are eligible to work in many areas of the healthcare field. The course is open to all adults by application and interview process. Applications are now available. You may call LincolnHealth Education (563-4540) to have an application packet sent to you. Applicants must have a high school diploma or GED/HiSET in order to be considered for the course. *** Maine Health CNA Paid Apprenticeship Program *** (Subject to availability) Earn while you Learn Maine Health and Adult Education throughout the midcoast region are offering an “Earn while you Learn” opportunity. Through a paid apprentice program, you can earn money for your CNA training with an expected commitment to work in a care setting for 12 months. Apprenticeship candidates are eligible for benefits including health insurance. An application and interview are required to be considered for this program.
