Dental Assisting with RHS National Competency (SET CLASS TIMES)

This is an online course. There are set times for classes.
Registration for this class is free, meaning there is no fee to sign up for the course. However, once registered, there is a cost of $3,200 to enroll in the class. Your registration doesn't secure your spot in the class. Your registration details are necessary for SCAE to forward to Academy Medical Professions. Payments go directly to Academy Medical Professions. They offer multiple payment methods.
After signing up for the class, you'll receive a packet to fill out and send directly to Academy Medical Professions. Once you have filled out the paperwork and the requested information, Academy of Medical Professions will contact you to complete your registration process.

This 12-week all-inclusive Certificate program in Dental Assisting is one of the most high-demand careers. This program is designed to teach all aspects of dental assisting and provide you with the skills you need to work in this field and pass a national certificate exam. This program is taught by a Dentist and includes an opportunity for internships. We can now offer an option for Lab days, please ask for more details! The price of the course includes all books, exam preparation materials, and fees for the DANB RHS certificate program. Upon passing the DANB RHS, you will receive a certificate of knowledge based on competency for that component from DANB.
This class runs from June 3, 2025 through July 31, 2025.

Basic Accounting and Quickbooks

During these three sessions you will learn basic accounting principles and how to apply them to setting up QuickBooks online for a small business or organization. The design of the course is that you'll attend the class and also do 2-3 hours of work between sessions which greatly enhances your learning.For this workshop, you have the option to receive a yearlong subscription to QB online. Upon registration, the survey provided will provide information about this opportunity. This is a live online class using ZOOM. Please take a few minutes to complete the survey included in your automated receipt so the instructor can tailor the course to meet your needs. You will want to have Microsoft Excel on your computer for this workshop and many people find it helpful to have two monitors though it is certainly not necessary to benefit from the sessions. There are two ways to accomplish this: 1) attach an external screen to your computer (contact our program if you need technical assistance with that); 2) use two computers (one for Excel and the other for the ZOOM meeting. Heartsaver® CPR & First Aid for Adults & Children

Acquire the fundamental knowledge and skills necessary to handle first aid, choking, or sudden cardiac arrest situations until emergency medical assistance arrives. Learn how to handle scenarios including bleeding, sprains, bone fractures, and shock. Learn to operate an AED and give CPR to infants, children and adults. Certifications in first aid and CPR are valid for two years and meet the requirements for child care providers.
Karl Finley, an EMT/Paramedic who has served as a volunteer fireman with the Scarborough Fire Department for more than 20 years, previously spent 19 years at the Saco Fire Department. He has 11 years of experience instructing CPR and has been the public education coordinator for nine years.
National Service Through Americorps: Informational Workshop

This informative workshop will provide attendees with all the information they need to enter National Service through the AmeriCorps program. The AmeriCorps is the program whereby citizens can Make A Difference in their community by enrolling to lend their energy and ability to advance a well thought out project and program. AmeriCorps members receive a stipend, fully paid health insurance (full time) and an education award that can be applied to any post-secondary school tuition/fees. Member terms are full or part time and there are many opportunities available, including the Augusta area.
