Erin is a former teacher of Deaf students in Vermont and loves to share this beautiful language with others. This class is geared towards new and beginner signers.  We will go over some basics of the language,  learn the alphabet and progress to short conversations.

Take your EXCEL skills to the next level. We will learn about tables, charts, data analysis, sorting, formulas and functions as well as pivot tables. 

This course is held on three consecutive Wednesdays, please attend all three.

This class is free for Maine residents, the non-resident fee is $50

Most people go about it the wrong way. In this introductory class, you will learn about a unique, outside the box way to break into this creative, fulfilling, and potentially lucrative industry. Voice-overs can be managed on your own terms, on your own turf, in your own time, and with minimal overhead! Whether you choose to pursue voice-overs part-time or full-time, this could be the game changer you’ve been looking for. In addition to online instruction, you will be given the opportunity to book a 1-on-1 script read and voice evaluation via telephone with your instructor for the following day. This class will be presented via Zoom, you will receive a link the 24 hours prior to the class.

Your local fire department needs YOU! Join the dedicated, everyday heroes who keep our community safer. Opportunities to serve come in different forms—firefighting, fund raising, community education, and department support—and you don't have to be available 24/7. Your contribution could be volunteering, on-call, part-time, or per diem. It could lead to a career! Get all your questions answered and more in this one-night presentation by the Knox County Mutual Aid Association. Meet area fire chiefs and firefighters and find out how your knowledge, skills, and abilities can be an asset to your community. Attendance is FREE but please register to let us know what numbers to expect. High school students are encouraged to attend.

The PVAEC State of Maine-approved Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) course includes classroom instruction, skills labs, and clinical experience. Enrollment is limited to 10 students. The admission process requires a criminal background check and reading comprehension testing. Tuition covers textbooks, background checks, and the state exam. Admittance to the course requires proof of all necessary healthcare worker vaccinations, including the full COVID-19 vaccine series.

This is a course that will provide high school participants, 16 years and older, with the tools and understanding needed to lead small groups of children through an afternoon of adventure. We will explore the principles of outdoor ethics, outdoor recreation, and stewardship/conservation, and highlight student success to share their work. This course is geared to pair mentors with youth and promote the importance of outdoor education and develop a love for life-long learning.
