This 12-week all-inclusive Certificate Program in Dental Assisting is one of the most high-demand careers.  This program is designed to teach all aspects of dental assisting and provide you with the skills you need to work in this field and pass a national certificate exam.  This program is taught by a Dentist and includes an opportunity for internships.  We can now offer an option for Lab days, please ask for more details!  The price of the course includes all books, exam preparation materials, and fees for the DANB RHS certificate program.  Upon passing the DANB RHS, you will receive a certificate of knowledge based on competency for that component from DANB.

This 20-week, in-depth medical coding for CPC certification through AAPC.  This program is designed to teach all aspects of medical coding, providing you with the skills needed to become nationally certified and to get into the job market as a Certified Professional Coder.  This certificate program includes Medical Terminology, Anatomy and Physiology, 2 CPC-A exam attempts, AAPC membership, 3 practice CPC tests, and all books. Basic computer skills are required. $3,950; Adding Practicode (6 - 10 - week online program) will remove the apprenticeship designation from the CPC Credential; $5,150.  Payment plans available.

- This program will be held once a week for 20 weeks. Upon completion of the program, you will sit for your CPC national certification which is included in tuition. Your title will be a CPC-A, for the first year; CPC-A means you will be considered a certified coder with an Apprentice designation for one year. Once you have worked for a year, you will have your Apprentice title removed and be an official CPC! This program consists of Medical Terminology/Anatomy for ICD-10 and Medical Coding curriculum.

Students enrolled in this certificate program complete a minimum of 130 hours of classroom, laboratory, and clinical training, meeting all state licensing requirements. Upon successful completion of the course and passage of the state competency exam, the student will be eligible to enter the healthcare field as a Certified Nursing Assistant under the direction of a licensed nurse. Class size is limited so applying early is advised. Funding opportunities are available through the Pen Bay Apprentice Program "Earn While You Learn", Goodwill Work Force Grant, as well as many other community programs. Prerequisite: high school diploma or equivalent.

Some examples of using Microsoft Excel as practical tools including the amortization table, 20 top functions companies want their employees to know, and pivot tables. The design of this course includes 2-3 hours of work with the software between sessions to gain maximum benefit from the sessions. This is a live online class using ZOOM. Please take a few minutes to complete the survey included in your automated receipt so the instructor can tailor the course to meet your needs. You will want to have Microsoft Excel on your computer for this workshop and many people find it helpful to have two monitors though it is certainly not necessary to benefit from the sessions. There are two ways to accomplish this: 1) attach an external screen to your computer (contact our program if you need technical assistance with that); 2) use two computers (one for Excel and the other for the ZOOM meeting.
