Crossbow Hunter Safety

Planning on Getting a Crossbow Hunting License? To be eligible to purchase a crossbow hunting permit, any person (16 years of age and older) must provide satisfactory evidence of the following: successful completion of an archery hunting education program or a firearms hunter safety course AND successful completion of a crossbow hunting education program (there is no set order in which the courses must be taken) OR proof of having previously held any valid hunting license and a valid permit or license that authorized the use of a crossbow (that is not a junior hunting license or an apprenticeship hunter license).
When proof or evidence cannot be otherwise provided, the applicant may substitute a signed affidavit that the applicant has previously held the required completed archery hunting education program or hunter safety course and crossbow hunting education program or has previously held any valid hunting license and a valid permit or license that authorized the use of a crossbow (that is not a junior hunting license or an apprenticeship hunter license).
In the event there is a resurgence in Covid-19 and the schools transition to remote learning (no students in school buildings), we will cancel the class, inform you and refund your money.
Beginners Hatha Yoga - Session One

Class will be held online using ZOOM.
This is a gentle beginners’ yoga class focusing on body alignment, breathing techniques, balance and strengthening in a slow paced and open environment. Class will end with introduction and exploration of relaxation and meditation techniques with time to experience how your yoga practice is evolving. If you have any special physical issues, chronic pain or injury, please contact the instructor before the first day of class to go over health concerns, safety and any props you may need to help you experience the best class possible.
Please bring a yoga mat, 2 blocks if you have them, 1 yoga strap, 1 blanket.
Intro to ZUMBA
with Lisa Berry, Spruce Mountain Adult Education
Interested in trying out a ZUMBA Fitness class but worried you'll be lost in a sea of confusing steps ? This 30 minute class will break down the steps. We'll take it at a slower pace as you learn how to "single-single-double", cha-cha, cumbia, and more. All ages are welcome (children ages 8-12 are free). Bring a clean pair of sneakers, a water bottle, and a willingness to have fun !
Class will meet on Mondays and Wednesdays, September 28th - November 4th from 5:15 - 5:45 pm at Renovation CrossFit, 25 Cedar Street, Livermore Falls.
Aerobics ~ Low Impact

Come to a fun and exciting low impact aerobics class where you work out at your own pace. Relieve stress, improve cardio, tone, and make new friends.
Yoga for Flexibility via Zoom Messalonskee F20
with Mary Patterson,CR,RYT-200, Mid-Maine Regional Adult Community Education
This Hatha yoga class will focus on increasing flexibility and loosening tight muscles. It will focus on one or more different muscle sets each week and will help increase flexibility with yoga poses that encourage stretching. Poses that help strengthen these muscles will also be practiced, since strength is also important for flexibility. Each class will start with some breathing exercises and centering, and will include flow in a slightly advancing way each week, then end with a couple of restorative postures. It is helpful to have a yoga mat or other non-slip surface and small blanket ready when class starts. No class Oct. 12. Storm date Nov. 9. Limit 15 students.

Using a YOGA MAT & having water accessible is advised. Wear comfortable clothing for exercise. Students can use wooden cooking utensils in place of the Official POUND® Ripstix®. The Ripstix®may be purchased on Amazon or through Cindy for $20.
Gentle & Restorative Yoga
with Dianna Sproul, Mt. Desert Island Adult & Community Education
Online class: Fight stress and find peace with this gentle and restorative yoga class. No experience necessary. This six-week course can be done at your own pace. Each class is one hour long and will start with gentle stretching, move into prolonged holding of poses using props (pillows or a block) for 2-5 minutes, and end in a resting pose with moments for reflection. Comfy clothes, pillows, a belt, and a block are needed for this class. (More info will be sent upon registration.)

Meditation in Motion

This class is designed to "flip" from onsite to remote, should we need to close our buildings.
This unique opportunity includes walking meditation, yoga/stretching/tai chi movements (in a chair or moving), as well as mindfulness exercises for improving awareness of each moment, for listening, observing, breathing, being still, and calm.
