Mobility & Stability for 50+: Building Strength & Independence (Jan)

Overall health and independence are important for everyone of all ages.  In this class, we focus on three main components: 

  1. Increasing your MOBILITY;
  2. Improving your STABILITY; and
  3. Gaining STRENGTH, 

all while learning functional movements that enrich everyday life.  Be challenged and have fun in a peer-supported environment with an excellent, seasoned coaching staff. 

Everything you need to know for each class is taught, discussed and practiced under the watchful eye of your coaches.  Join your peers at CrossFit Breakwater!  This is an in-person class held at CrossFit Breakwater.

Evening Indoor Walking Program

Are you looking for a dry, safe, and well-lit place to walk? Join us for a healthy way to keep fit. A walking clinic will kick off the program pro- viding information on techniques, proper stretching, goal setting, and record keeping. Info night for new participants is Monday, 1/9 from 5:30-6:30 pm in the high school cafeteria. No need to attend if you have previously participated in the walking program. Families are welcome to walk from 3:00-6:00 pm after the intro night. The nominal fee covers the entire semester! Kids are free. No access 1/16, 2/20-2/23, 4/17-4/20

NACE is excited to welcome back instructor Maribel Despres and her zumba classes! 

Join Maribel at Noble High School in North Berwick, where you can take the “work” out of workout! She mixes low-intensity and high-intensity moves for a calorie-burning dance fitness party. Zumba is a total workout, combining all elements of fitness – cardio, muscle conditioning, balance and flexibility. There will be class sessions offered Monday and Wednesday evenings.

Wear comfortable clothes and shoes with little to no tread to reduce twisting knee joints. At this time, masks are required. 

*No Class February 9, April 17, April 24

Last session ends on May 29th, not May 31st

Learn to listen to your body for what it wants and needs. Using Kripalu Yoga techniques, learning your own version of postures with modifications as needed. Yoga helps with stress relief; better breathing; increase in strength and flexibility; improved circulation; cardiovascular conditioning; inner peace and more. (All classes will be designed to meet the needs of Beginning yogis and Advanced Beginners practicing yoga). Bring a mat and wear comfortable clothes.

ZUMBA Session 5

Robin's Zumba® classes have been running strong for over 11 years through the Wells Ogunquit Adult Ed. Zumba® is dance exercise for people who don't consider themselves dancers but love to dance. The hour flies by and you will get a great workout. Robin uses fun, high energy music and the moves are basic and repeated enough times so that you really know them. Plus one of the best things about Zumba® is the emphasis on modifying the moves to make them your own.  Questions about the class?
