Gentle Yoga Flow

Calendar Jan 31, 2024 at 4 pm, runs for 10 weeks

This is a gentle flow yoga class for all ages and body types, working on yoga postures in a flow format including breath work. Participants will learn yoga poses at a slow and gentle pace.

Modifications given when needed. Please bring your yoga mat. Yoga blocks are helpful if you have them.

Here's everything to get YOU ready for your next phase of personal growth. Step aerobics using 4 or 6 inch steps or "step mats" (keeps you at ground level)...low impact to set your own intensity. Strength training with weights: meet your own needs for bone density and isolated muscle work to maintain a stronger you. Students should have their own weights, steps or step mats. 

It is recommended that you have 1-2 lb weights; wear comfortable clothes that let you move; and gym shoes to give your feet support. Always check with your doctor before beginning an exercise program.

The field of science and research has predominantly focused on male subjects. However, gender differences do affect breathing control, vulnerability to illness, and other issues. Join Carole as she addresses issues that can affect women’s health to include the female brain and stress, pain conditions, hormones, pelvic floor dysfunctions and strengthening, managing menopause, and much more. Pre-registration is required for access to online link.

Carole Freeman is a Respiratory Therapist and Breathing Specialist and holds a graduate degree in Health Sciences from Loma Linda University Medical Center. She focuses on the relatively new field of pulmonary medicine in recognizing and treating breathing disorders.

Boy, it’s cold out…but never fear! Just join us for a winter indoor walking activity that helps melt away stress, health issues, and maybe even a few pounds without battling cold, snow, or ice. Come on in, warm up, and just walk! Meet in the lobby at Sacopee Valley Middle School. Please pre-register as we need a minimum of 3 people to run the course.
