In this class students will gain an understanding of hardware vs software. They will understand the anatomy of a computer as well as the operating systems: Windows and Apple OS. Students will learn about file systems and file extensions: .doc, .pdf, .mp3. This class will also teach students about internet access. Sign up to get a better understanding of your computer.

Google Docs - Basics

Google docs are word processing files.  It is a user friendly on-line tool similar to Microsoft Word.  It’s free and accessible from all devices and easy to share.  Learn how to:

  • 2) use the basic formatting functions;
  • 3) share documents with others and learn other features as time permits.

Basic computer skills, including hardware and software basics, surfing the internet and a Gmail account are required for this workshop.
