Looking to improve your digital skills for work? Whether you want to learn new things for your current job or you’re looking to do something completely different, we can help you navigate the digital landscape to find, access, and/or complete your computer goals.

Register to meet with our tech advisor to learn about the free and low cost options to meet your needs.  Our staff will assist you with your individual needs and help you find additional resources.

Some examples of ways that we can help:

  • Building basic computer skills for work, school, or to help you manage your child’s computer access.
  • Improving skills in online research, protecting personal information online, and adapting to new online tools for shopping, personal care, and financial literacy.
  • Online Job Search Skills, including online search techniques and how to apply for jobs online.
  • Brushing up on industry standard digital tools and software, like GSuite and Microsoft Office.
  • Asking specific questions regarding your individual needs.

CompTIA+TestOut provides computer skills and information technology (IT) certifications and training that can be completed from any location and with any device.

The online learning system uses videos, articles, and interactive simulations where learners can practice and apply their skills for real-world settings and prepares individuals for CompTIA certifications and other IT exams.

Individual lessons are short so students can fit learning into the rest of their lives. Courses can take 20-100 hours to complete and students have an entire calendar year to complete work for credit.

These days, creating a website is so easy almost anyone can do it. But with all the competition on the web, creating a site that's effective is more challenging than ever. Regardless of your current skills or level of knowledge, in this course you'll master the basics of web design and learn how to build sites that are better and more effective.

You'll examine the tension between form and function, explore the six major states of the website development process, and learn the basics of user-centered design. You'll also look at the five basic steps to organizing information, find out how site design themes can be used for information delivery, and review website design considerations. Along the way, you'll learn about effective type and graphics and explore the idea of making a website fully interactive. This course is a must for web designers, giving the tips and tools that will help them establish a solid career.
