Ever consider a career as a drinking water or wastewater treatment plant operator? According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, job prospects are expected to be excellent in the coming decade with a projected growth of 8% through 2022. Many current treatment plant workers are nearing retirement age, and there are not enough new workers entering the industry to meet demand. Recent high school graduates looking for steady work or anyone thinking about a new career with good pay, benefits, and economic stability can find career opportunities in the water treatment and distribution fields. Presenters include career professionals from local drinking and wastewater plants and the Maine Department of Protection. At Kittery Adult Education/Traip Academy, with an option to join virtually.

In this course, students will learn the introductory concepts to becoming a Medical Administrative Assistant. Topics in this course will include: career and job essentials, the healthcare system and team, medical law and ethics and operations of the medical office. We will also consider the growing diversity of the communities we serve. This course is fully online. PLEASE NOTE: You will need to purchase the textbook for this class. It must be a new book. The book is MEDICAL OFFICE ADMINISTRATION, 4th EDITION (ISBN: 9780323400756) and may be purchased online. Aerial Lift Training - Sept.

Learn how to safely and correctly operate aerial lifts and scissor lifts. There are an average of 26 construction worker fatalities each year from lift accidents, often due to operator error or negligence, amounting to as much as 3% of all construction related deaths each year. Reduce YOUR risk of injuries and fatalities with proper OSHA-compliant lift certification. Two separate sessions are offered; choose the one you prefer. Minimum of 10 participants to make this class run.
