Certified Clinical Medical Assistant with CCMA Certification

Medical Assistants are responsible for a variety of medical office tasks from administrative to technical and scientific duties and must have quality human relations skills. Some of the job duties include cleaning and dressing wounds, taking blood samples, administering medications, taking vitals, preparing a patient for EKGs, obtaining a patient’s history, and assisting physicians during examinations. Our program provides virtual reality style classroom work as well as traditional style teaching for a blended learning experience. Practicals are performed during the program to ensure that the student has proper techniques and will be ready to pass the National Certification. Upon completion of the program, you will sit for your CCMA (Clinical Certified Medical Assistant) national certification exams through NHA. Tuition includes national certification, 6 practice exams, online study guide materials, books, resume assistance, and all other associated fees. Externships may be available in your area. Payment plans are available for all medical certificate programs.

Over the last decade he has directlytrained new staff on the floor of different group homes.
American Red Cross First Aid-Session 2

Lighthouse Health and Safety brings you this one-night American Red Cross course. This will prepare you to recognize and carefor a variety of emergencies including breathing and cardiac emergencies, burns, cuts, heat and cold emergencies, stroke, diabetic emergencies and other sudden illnesses and meets OSHA requirements. Students who successfully complete this coursewill receive an American Red Cross certificate valid for two years. Minimum of five per session.

BHP: Behavioral Health Professional Certification

Are you a parent, grandparent, or caregiver of a child with special needs? Want to understand and use the tools that teachers and support staff use successfully? This blended online and in-person course teaches individuals how to provide support to children (4 - 21 years of age) with intellectual/developmental delays, autism, or major mental health diagnosis in their home and community. (Note: This class meets the state requirements for certification as a Behavioral Health Profession for job placement, if certification is desired. CPR/First Aid is needed in conjunction with this course for certification. CPR cost is NOT included in the cost of this course.) This is the 6 hour recertification exam for the CRMA whose certificate is still current. It no longer includes review time; students should study on their own to ensure successful licensing. This is a daytime Friday class.

Northeast Whitewater Lodge & Guide Service is holding a 3-day course April 18, 19, and 20 at PVAEC for students to learn and perfect what you need to know to successfully pass the State administered Registered Maine Recreation Guide exam; including map & compass, lost person/catastrophic event portion, watercraft laws, trip planning, safety, risk management, camping, outdoor cooking, rules and regulations, ATV, snowmobile, canoeing skills, the business side of guiding and more! You will receive hands on learning with classroom time spent both in and outdoor for scenarios and learning practices. CNA Certified Nursing Assistant-April

Students enrolled in this Certificate program complete 200 hours of classroom, laboratory, and clinical experience, which meet all state licensing requirements. Upon successful completion of the course and passage of the State Competency Exam, the student will be eligible to enter the healthcare field as a Certified Nursing Assistant under the direction of a licensed nurse.
