Emerging Math PM W24
with Elizabeth Johnson, Augusta Adult and Community Education
Independent Learning Lab Emerging Math is aligned with College and Career Readiness Standards Level C (basic math skills). The course is a hybrid format allowing students to work online outside of class and also attend class for in-person direct instruction and support. This class provides AACE high school diploma students with the opportunity to earn one required math credit. This class is also appropriate for adult transition students.

Dive into the world of technology at MMRACE Computer Access Lab! Whether you're earning computer credits or seeking support for virtual courses, our lab is here for you. Designed as both a credit lab for computer learners and a resource hub for virtual course assistance, MMRACE Computer Access Lab provides the support you need for your academic journey. This is course is meant only for MMRACE learners.
There are two options for this class: Wednesday 1:30pm-3:00pm or Thursday 9:00am-10:30am.

Real World Mathematics

eal World Math is designed for learners who struggle with everyday math skills. Its purpose is to reach and engage learners who struggle with math in every day happenings. Each activity includes clear, simple directions and short activity questions with sentences written at a low reading level. The activities feature realistic graphic representations that are pertinent to everyday experiences. The four basic computations (+, -, x, and /) are introduced and utilized throughout while fractions, decimals, and percent are visited along with one and two step word problems pertinent to the unit being studied.
