Individual and group tutoring for Math - for HiSET test prep, or employer testing. Earn your high school credential. Similar test to the GED.

Free to eligible adult education students.

 

Receive supplemental practice along with alternate explanations in order to understand a variety of mathematical topics at a deeper level. Work independently or with peers to complete assigned tasks and improve skills. Whether pursuing a diploma or just ?brushing up? on English related skills, this class has something for you. Practice your reading comprehension skills and enhance your writing. Review the parts of speech or prepare for college entrance exams. This course provides individualized and small group instruction in grammar, reading, and spelling. Right brain meets left brain.  Students will use their interest and/or talent of art while learning key concepts of shapes, angles, similarity and congruence in Geometry.  Art provides a different approach for learning math. 

Demonstrate your understanding of math skills through a variety of art projects. Class will be a combination of instruction, group, and individual work.  At the end of the course, students will have a project presentation of displaying all of their artwork.  Diploma students can earn one credit in either math or art.
