Join us for a class in Hatha Yoga led by certified instructor, Nancy Cotty from Peace Within Yoga. Yoga is a great way to relax and improve your health and well being. The focus will be on stretching and breathing while building our strength and finding peace. All levels are welcome. Drop-ins are welcome and new students can join anytime. All equipment will be provided for you. Information learned through yoga classes and workshops should not be considered a substitute for medical advice. 

Whether you are a complete beginner or looking to brush up on previous skills, this is the drawing class for you. Working in a variety of media, we will cover all of the basics: line, shape, value, proportion, composition, perspective and markmaking. Particular focus is placed on observational skills, learning how to translate the 3-dimensional world onto a 2-dimensional surface. A materials list will be provided after registration.

One of the most beautiful things that mother nature shows us and no two are ever the same. The colors range from soft pinks to vibrant orange and purples, the sky's the limit for what you can achieve with Shirley guiding you step by step. In this class you will learn what colors pair well next to each other and how to layer colors to achieve depth. No Prior experience is necessary; Shirley welcomes beginners with open arms. Whether you’re a seasoned artist or picking up a brush for the first time you’ll find this to be a fun and engaging class. Canvas and paints are supplied.

The “Foundation” maintains 150 km of trails that are considered by many to be the finest cross-country ski trails in the Eastern United States. Jackson Ski Touring Foundation presents state of the art grooming on trails designed to suit every taste and ability, whether you prefer quiet striding through  old growth, New England forest, or all out skate skiing. You  can visit on-trail destinations: the warming cabin and Cocoa  Cabin on the Ellis River Trail. We will arrive to have a full day of cross country skiing or snowshoeing. You may bring your own equipment or rent at the touring center. Before heading back, we will dine at one of the fine local restaurants. This trip will enrich lives and promote a healthy lifestyle. Rental fees and food expenses are participant’s responsibility.  Maximum of 8 may participate on this trip.

Material List: Bead Loom (Beadalon is a simple & affordable option), Round Seed beads (size 6/0 recommended), Beading thread (non stretchy), Beading needles (collapsable eye highly recommended), End clasps/slide clasps (recommended for finishing), Embroidery Thread (optional), and Scissors.

Have you taken the Introduction to Zentangle class and are wondering where to go next? In this class, we’ll play with different tangles, different materials and different approaches using the base of your initial Zentangle experience. All supplies needed will be provided.

This all-levels class integrates pen and ink techniques with watercolor. Students will learn principles of illustration different kinds of botanicals, and create a composition combining a rainbow array of the subjects of their choosing. At the end of the day, students will have gained techniques for painting and drawing in their own unique style.
