Anyone who wants to get outside and have some fun on XC skis this winter, from comfortable beginner to experienced, is welcome to attend this class. We'll talk about equipment, techniques, and explore a different ski trail every week. You'll need your own equipment. The first meeting will begin at Camden Hills Regional High School field house beside the athletic fields. We may need to adjust the schedule and travel distance based upon the availability of skiable areas.

Ellsworth Adult & Community Education is working with MDI Hospital and Birch Bay Village to offer a Certified Nursing Assistant course.

This course is hybrid with classroom sessions live online using ZOOM Mondays and Tuesdays, 5:00p-8:30p; lab sessions held in-person for 6 Wednesday evenings, followed by 5 in-person clinical sessions.

CNA Plus also offers BLS, CPR & First Aid, Northstar Digital Literacy Certificates and a WorkReady credential. Pre-requisites are access to high speed internet, basic computer skills and a computer.  

Interested students can begin on the Northstar Digital Literacy and WorkReady Credentials starting in October 2024. A packet of materials including a syllabus, schedule, and application will be available here by the beginning of August.

This course is free for Maine residents who plan to work at a facility in Hancock County. It is funded by a Strengthen Maine's Workforce Grant offered by the State of Maine. 

Google Tasks is a little known feature of Google Suites. The tasks can be linked with calendar events, emails and other Google features that really assist with efficiently working through your to-do list, without losing track of what you need to get done. This is an in-peson class; makeup class, if needed, 03/07/24.

You’ll need a Gmail account for this workshop, and will need to know your account username and password.  It’s ideal if you access your Gmail on the web vs. a computer-based program.  If you’re not sure what this means, please contact us and we’ll be glad to assist you!  Google applications are free and are a practical way to learn programs without investing in software.

Join us for a class in Hatha Yoga led by certified instructor, Nancy Cotty from Peace Within Yoga. Yoga is a great way to relax and improve your health and well being. The focus will be on stretching and breathing while building our strength and finding peace. All levels are welcome. Drop-ins are welcome and new students can join anytime. In this one night class we will learn the basic concepts of candy making. Each student will take home samples of the quick and easy treats we will make. Grab a friend and treat yourself to a sweet night out learning new recipes. These include Quick Butter Toffee Bark, No Bake Coconut Candy, and Last Minute Fudge. Bring covered containers to take home samples. 3-hour workshop; Materials fee of $10 included.

Join us in person for an open studio oil painting experience! Bring unfinished or blank canvas, oil paint, and easel to enjoy 2 relaxing hours with fellow artists and budding artists. Let's keep painting!

This introductory course teaches the basics of the Zentangle Method of pen & ink drawing. It is an easy-to-learn, relaxing, and fun way to create beautiful images by drawing structured patterns. This course will provide instruction in fundamental pen strokes, multiple tangle patterns, and simple shading techniques. We will explore basic components of design and ideas for embellishment. Materials Kits are included in class cost; they can be picked up at the CLCAE Office in Damariscotta prior to class start date.

NEW DATE Use wool felt and embroidery thread to make a fun 3” patch of a loon swimming on a pond. Some basic embroidery experience is recommended. We will use running stitch and french knots.
