Heartsaver Basic First Aid & CPR Adult/Child/Infant Bundle (Mar)

This is a bundled course with Basic First Aid in the morning and Heartsaver CPR Adult/Child/Infant in the afternoon. 

Basic First Aid certifies the student in several critical topics/skills needed to provide immediate lifesaving care for individuals who are dealing with a medical or injury emergency. It also covers environmental emergencies for the lay rescuer. 

The CPR course certifies the student in cardiopulmonary resuscitation skills for adults, infants, and children, as well as choking protocols. It also teaches competency in both Automated External Defibrillator use and Narcan.  This is an in-person class.

Substitute Teacher Training

Whether you are just thinking about subbing or are a seasoned veteran looking to add some fresh ideas and “tools” to your repertoire, you’ll thoroughly enjoy this professional development opportunity. You will get to tour several schools within the RSU 14 District and will meet various RSU 14 staff members. Learn about the required substitute paperwork and protocol, strategies to keep students on task, tips to make lessons more appealing to reluctant learners along with tried and true behavior modifiers from our Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) Program. The $34 course fee will be reimbursed to any participants who 1) complete the program, and 2) complete a day as a sub for RSU14.

Stop the Bleed® (Mar)

The STOP THE BLEED® Interactive Course guides you through the three methods of bleeding control using video demonstrations, interactive learning, and spontaneous quizzes.

A bleeding injury can happen anywhere. We've all seen it happen too often—on the news or in everyday life. Life-threatening bleeding can happen in people injured in serious accidents or disasters. Instead of being a witness, you can become an immediate responder because you know how to STOP THE BLEED®.

The person next to a bleeding victim may very well be the one who’s most likely to save him or her from bleeding to death. By learning how to STOP THE BLEED®, you’ll gain the ability to recognize life-threatening bleeding, and act quickly and effectively to control bleeding once you learn three quick techniques.

Take the STOP THE BLEED® training course and become empowered to make a life or death difference when a bleeding emergency happens.

Relief Printmaking Workshop

Create a single block relief print by developing and carving an image into a linoleum block. Then ink the block and make a small edition of prints. All materials provided.

Tai Yoga-Morning Class

This is a live, online class via Zoom.

This 60-minute Yoga class will provide sequences that calms the nervoussystem along with stretching/warming the muscles and preparing the mind to rest.

Breathing techniques, short meditation and positive affirmations will end the practice.
