Hands-on instruction from a pro - Chris Toy will be in the house providing expert instruction and lots of fun! Learn how to season, care for, and use a Chinese wok and cleaver. You'll take home a specially selected kit with a seasoned wok, wok spatula, sharpened cleaver, honing steel, and a cutting board (kit valued at over $100). Of course, to learn all these steps, there must be food involved! Bring a container for left-overs!

Basic Beginner Welding

Have you ever thought about fabricating with metals? Maybe as a craft/hobby, or the start of a new business venture down the road? If you answered yes, then our new Basic Beginner Welding class is the right fit for you! The class will cover stick (SMAW) welding including learning how to weld different types of joints together, how to use the large range of supporting equipment (brushes, sanders, grinders, etc.), and the various welding processes with a focus on safety first.
Instructor: Quinn Gerrish
The class will meet for 8 (mostly) consecutive Thursday evenings from 5:30 to 8:30 pm beginning on March 27th running to May 22nd.
No class on 4/24 (school vacation week)

Earrings Workshop
with Alice Carroll, York Adult Education
In this workshop, you'll explore textures and fold forming to create unique earrings. Templates will be provided to help you choose the shape, which you will then saw out of metal. After folding the metal in half, you'll gently hammer it to create a seam, then open it up again to texture the folded seam. Each student will also learn how to make small granules to solder onto the earrings for added design details. No experience is required, and all materials and supplies are included. Join us to craft a distinctive pair of earrings from start to finish! Instructor: Alice Carroll

Hand Drumming Workshop

Explore hand drumming through the traditional music of Guinea, West Africa. Alongside your fellow students and Master Village Drummer Namory Keita, play patterns and rhythms. Fun and engaging, Namory's remarkable style unites all levels in a community experience and is fun and engaging—a not to be missed experience! Registration closes at noon on 3/28. Please bring a Djembe, Ashiko, Conga or other hand drum. Some rentals are available at $5/drum, payable to instructor in class. Email info@namorydrum.com to reserve a drum.
