Watercolors Part 2 - Zoom Only

THE CLASS DATES HAVE CHANGED FROM THE CATALOG. CLASS NOW OFFERED APRIL 29 - MAY 20TH. Offered via ZOOM only. In Watercolors Part II, students will continue with more of Audrey's basic skill building in watercolor painting with ample class time to work on painting. A list of watercolor paints, brushes, paper, and sundries is available on our website.
Wheel Throwing (Beginner/Intermediate): Tuesday Evening, Session III
with Mackenzie Martin, Gorham Adult Education

Join us in this fun, in-depth exploration of clay! This class will provide an introduction to throwing on the pottery wheel and becoming acquainted with our studio and materials. In these 7-week sessions you will learn about all the stages of working with clay: throwing, trimming, surfacing, firing, glazing, and beyond! Our small class size and experienced teachers allow for plenty of individual instruction and learning at your own pace, so whatever experience level you are coming in with works for us. You will leave with your own unique body of work and an exciting new skill/hobby! All classes are held at the Art and Nature Center at Tannery Brook.
Tuesday Evening, Session III: 7 classes, 4/29-6/10, 6:00pm-8:00pm, $250
Additional, optional work time will be offered for current students and members on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays 10am-1pm and Fridays from 5pm-8pm. This optional work time is first come, first serve for available wheel use and table space. The studio will be closed on federal holidays.

Wire Wrapped Rings with Elise Marie Designs

Come join us for a fun evening where you will learn how to make two wire wrapped rings with Elise Marie DeSigns! It's a great opportunity to unleash your inner artist and create unique jewelry pieces that you can wear or gift to loved ones. No experience is necessary, as Elise will guide you through the process step by step. We hope to see you there!
All supplies are provided.
Wire Wrapped Sea Glass Jewelry
with Jessica Muise, Old Orchard Beach/Saco Adult Education

Twist, wrap, and loop your way to a necklace or set of earrings using design elements drawn from the sea. Combine found materials with metal and learn easy wire-wrapped loop techniques to create your own unique jewelry. Bring your own sea glass or choose from the instructor's collection. Leave with a completed piece reflecting your creative design and resources to continue making similar jewelry at home. Registration closes at noon on 4/28. Tuition includes materials.
Jessica Muise, a multidisciplinary artist and educator, has been teaching and making art throughout New England for the last 15 years. She is passionate about using the arts as tools for social change and serves as a consultant to artists, nonprofit organizations, and coalitions for social change.

This class serves as another step on the journey. It continues to engage students in a variety of photographic topics with a focus on students’ individual growth as photographers. This class will cover some of the more creative aspects of photographic work. Weekly projects will be assigned to help students achieve a greater potential through a wider understanding of photographic
possibilities. [Prerequisite: Fundamentals Class or permission of the instructor).
Crochet Basics
with Jamie Boucher Simpkins, Sanford Community Adult Education

All levels of ability are welcome!
Ideal for beginning or rusty crocheters.
Bring a ball of yarn and a crochet hook and I'll show you how! You'll also learn about the tools of the trade, a bit of crochet history, and how to start reading patterns. When you're done, you'll know the five stitches most commonly used.
We also offer one-night classes as well if you need just to brush up.
