Fryeburg Fair Senior Citizen Day

The Fryeburg Fair is Maine’s Largest agricultural fair and one of the best blue ribbon fairs in the United States. During the day, many activities and events include a draft horse show, sheep show, Ox powder puff, flower show, horse racing, and many exhibits. Please bring your appetite, because there are many different selections to enjoy. Admission and transportation are included in the cost. There are a maximum of 8 participants for this trip. We will meet at Wells High School at 8:00 by the Athletic Center. Please enroll early. For a complete list of events, go to www.fryeburgfair.org If there is great interest, we will be able to take a second van, please sign up early so we can make arrangements. The $27. fee covers transportaion and entrance fee, must be a Senior Citizen

Meet with Kelly Monroe from In The Magic Travel, an Authorized Disney Vacation Planner. She is a travel agent that specializes in all things Disney. You’ll be given information on resorts, park tickets, theme parks, dining plans and Disney Genie. Kelley is an experienced Disney traveler and can provide you with tips and tricks you usually only hear after your trip.
Instructor: Kelly Monroe is an experienced travel agent from “In The Magic Travel, An Authorized Disney Vacation Planner", with 11 years specializing in Disney destinations.
Egg Class

This class will introduce most of the ways to create egg dishes. Hard boiled, soft boiled, over easy, over hard, scrambled, egg salad, omelets and frittatas. There will be a cooking demonstration for each style of egg dish plus a chance to sample the egg dishes. Please bring a small Tupperware container to take home leftovers. You will also receive a egg cookbook to use at home. Grocery fee of $10. due to instructor at time of class.

Tai Chi for Arthritis & Fall Prevention - Basic Core Movements

Tai Chi for Arthritis and Fall Prevention is a safe and easy system to learn. In this beginner course, learn the basic coremovements (forms), which are designed to relieve arthritispain, reduce falls and improve quality of life. Wear loose,comfortable clothing and smooth-bottom shoes suitable forexercise. Beginners 55+. Instructor: Dennis Fallo is a certified instructor through the Tai Chifor Health Institute founded by Dr. Paul Lam.
NAPKIN BASKET - NEW
with Kathryn Polletto, Wells-Ogunquit Adult Community Education

Participants will make a 6 inch square napkin basket with reed splint to hold your everyday napkins. The student will have a choice of colors to accent the basket. Student will learn how to weave a base, “upset” the sides and rimming the basket. This is a good project for those who have never made a basket, or want to learn more about basket weaving. Please bring: Pencil, Scissor, Awl, Tape measure, 6 Spring clothes pins, bowl & towel.
INSTRUCTOR: Kathryn Polletto is a self taught basket weaver and lives in Kennebunk, Maine. She began weaving more than 40 years ago. She was a resident Basket Maker of the Sandy Spring Museum in Maryland. She has been juried into the Directory of Traditional American Crafts, sponsored be Early American Life Magazine. She has also been juried into well-known Craft Fairs.
