LET’S MAKE TANGLE ART

Participants will have an opportunity to learn 9 to 12 Tangle designs which can be incorporated into a drawn design. Tangles are typically black ink on white background. The designs look like doodles, but they are typically detailed and specific. They are fun and can be quietly meditative. All materials provided including instructions.

Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution and Plimouth Plantation Museum Overnight Trip –New

Trip to the Plymouth Plantation and the Oceanographic Institute.  September 24 and 25.   This trip leaves Wells High School on September 24 at 8:00 a.m.  We head for Plymouth and tour first the Mayflower and then onto Plymouth Plantation where we will have a light lunch and then head to Falmouth.   We will be spending the night, breakfast is included in the hotel.  That evening we will be going out for a lovely dinner and then the next morning we have a tour scheduled for 10:00 a.m. at the Oceanographic Institution. We will leave Woods Hole to go to the Heritage Museum in Sandwich (Incredible gardens and antique car collection). We will have lunch at the museum. We will start our journey back home to Wells. Price of the trip is $450.00 per person double occupancy.   This trip is limited to 8 people or more if there is interest. We need to know by September 12 to order tickets.

Take time and get lost in the world of basic watercolor skills. We will paint with watercolors that will be attached to note cards for your correspondence pleasure. We will be able to make 4 to 5 cards and maybe more, time permitting. Come not knowing anything and leave having had a new learning experience. All materials and instruction provided. EMBOSSING MAGIC - NEW

In this class you will make 3 cards. The first will use “wet” embossing to create a shadow effect of the stamped image.  The second will show you how to add color to your embossed image. The third will show you how to create empty  space within the embossing to stamp (or write) a personal message. All materials will be provided.

Fryeburg Fair Woodsmen's Day

The Fryeburg Fair is Maine’s Largest agricultural fair and one of the best blue ribbon fair in the United States. Woodsmen's  Field Day is for men and women from all over the U.S. who  compete in over 27 woods-related events. Bucksaw, standing  block, the axe throw, tree felling, crosscut, springboard, we have it all. Events run all day with winners and awards given out regularly and also at the closing of the day, typically around 5 p.m. Be sure to join us at Woodmen's Field Day.  You're going to love it! Please enroll early. For a complete list  of events, go to www.fryeburgfair.org. THERE IS AN ADMISSION FEE INTO THE FAIR on top of the $27.
