Dichroic Glass Jewelry is totally unique and totally beautiful! Instructor, Carmela Patriotti will show you how to stack layers of metal oxides that are then heated to melt them together to form a translucent glass. When finished, the jewelry will display different colors depending on the angle of light. See our website to view pictures of some of the instructors finished pieces. The Adult Education office will notify you to arrange a pick-up time for your finished glass jewelry approximately two weeks after the class session. In this class you will make a felted picture using wool, bamboo, and silk--no experience necessary! You will leave with finished and matted work of art, which will be suitable later for an 8 x 10 frame if you choose. The instructor, Bunny, recently had the opportunity to study under Fiber Artist, Moy Mackay in Peebles, Scotland and has brought her new skills to you! Create a Deco Mesh “Love Grows Here” Everyday Wreath

Come learn more about both the artistic side, including composition and design, and the technical, such as aperture, shutter speed, loss and non-loss files, downloading to electronic formats, and simple editing of digital photography. We will be outdoors shooting as much as daylight and weather permit. Please wear appropriate outdoor gear to be outdoors on a spring evening. Students must bring a camera, memory cards, charged batteries, all cords, camera manual, and laptop with them to each and every class. If students have a card reader, that also should be brought to each class. Students between 13-17 years old interested in registering also require a participating and registering parent or guardian to attend. Limit 5 students.

Learn the fundamentals of casting on a one-to-one basis from a Fly Fishers International Certified Casting Instructor. Beginners to advanced casters are welcome. Learn how to do a basic cast, a roll cast, false casting, mending line, casting accuracy, casting in wind, and other techniques suited for your skill level. Limit 6 Students. 

This class will be held OUTDOORS on the Waterville Senior High School campus. Bring a 4-7 wt. fly rod with a floating line. Please also bring a hat and sunglasses to protect your head and your eyes. Instructor will provide leader with practice fly that will be attached to your fly line. DRESS FOR OUTDOOR PRACTICE. Dates of class can be flexible if weather conditions prevent a class.
