In this class you’ll need 12 or so basic chords, knowledge of the capo, and a sense of adventure as we go more into depth with the 1960’s Bob Dylan, Leadbelly, Iris DeMent, Bruce Springsteen, 1960’s Rolling Stones, Woody Guthrie, view more Rory Block, Leo Kottke, Beatles DVD’s and old time blues DVD’s for fun! You set the pace, but some practice will be required between classes. You can take this class without Guitar I if you have the basic knowledge. You’ll need to bring a guitar, capo, picks, tuner, and notebook. Limit 6 students.

Doreen provides the paint, brushes, canvas, aprons, easels, and instructions to create your art project. You will leave class with a smile and find your artistic side. Wonderful for gift giving or that room you have just redecorated. In the first session we will paint Klimt’s “Owls” - and who doesn’t love owls! Then we will let Picasso’s “Rooster” inspire us with his color and design - a fun piece to paint! A $45 material fee is payable to the instructor at the start of each class. Limit 18 students. Storm date will be the following Wednesday.

BLAST! Babysitter Lessons and Safety Training Program (the Second Edition) published by the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) is an important program for babysitters. It is exciting and interactive and provides training in pediatric first aid, household safety, and the fundamentals of childcare. We will cover the most current practices for safety and injury prevention, First Aid basics for emergency, quick references tools for babysitters, and a fun, easy-to-follow booklet. The program will prepare you to interview for a babysitting job, select safe and suitable games and activities, prevent accidents, perform first aid and CPR, and begin babysitting safely and competently. Designed for young people ages 12 and older who are interested in learning the skills for babysitting. A parent or guardian must accompany young people 12 to 17, but they do not need to pay/register. A $20 material fee is payable to the instructor at start of class - includes book and certificate. Please pre-register by Mar. 25. Limit 12 students.

Basketball Officiating Certification Course W19

This course will teach the student the rules of the game of basketball in preparation for a written certification exam. Upon completion of the course and passing the exam, the student will become a provisional member of the International Association of Approved Basketball Officials (IAABO). After completing the exam, the course will teach the student proper floor mechanics, positioning and signals. A $70 material fee is payable to the instructor at the start of class. Fee covers rules book and student guide. Students only need to bring a pencil with them to class. No student limit. Storm date of June 5.
