Successfully complete all components of this 7-week course and you’ll learn about the banking basics required, the workplace math skills necessary for success, tips on interviewing skills and preparing your resume. You’ll also receive a Today’s Teller certificate from the American Banking Association, a designation that is recognized nationally by banks and other financial companies. Taught by professionals from TD Bank, Norway Savings, and Key Bank, these local banking facilitators will help you learn what you need to gain an advantage in the employment process by earning a certificate from the American Banking Association. The certificate is a real advantage in the job seeking process. The workplace math skills will be in an online format and supported by our adult education academic instructor. This 8-week intensive program will prepare you to successfully take the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board exam. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will be assisting the Pharmacist in every aspect of the daily running of the pharmacy: preparing medications, receiving and verifying prescriptions, helping customers, plus many other vital tasks. This is a high growth profession with great salaries and benefits. Due to the accelerated nature of this course, it is recommended that students be able to grasp content and concepts quickly. Because of the ongoing pandemic this course will be a hybrid of teacher created YouTube informational and instructional videos (2 per week) followed by a weekly Zoom virtual class with the instructor for assignment review and Q & A. Medical Assistants are responsible for a variety of medical office tasks from administrative to technical and scientific duties and must have quality human relations skills.   Some of the job duties include cleaning and dressing wounds, taking blood samples, administering medications, taking vitals, preparing a patient for EKGs, obtaining a patient’s history, and assisting physicians during examinations.  Our program provides virtual reality style classroom work as well as traditional style teaching for a blended learning experience.  Practicals are performed during the program to ensure that the student has proper techniques and will be ready to pass the National Certification.  Upon completion of the program, you will sit for your CCMA (Clinical Certified Medical Assistant) national certification exams through NHA. Tuition includes national certification, 6 practice exams, online study guide materials, books, resume assistance, and all other associated fees.  Externships may be available in your area. This Contact Tracing Training course is a one-month online course to train people to get a job as a contact tracer.  We are in the process of finalizing the course.  Please register here for more information about the class.

Some FAQs: 

Q. What will individuals be able to do after completing the training?

A. Successful completion will make the individual eligible for employment in a high-demand area. Preliminary reports suggest that 30 contact tracers per 100,000 residents are needed to help prevent further spread of COVID-19.

Q. Will this training be useful after the pandemic is under control?

A.  Yes. Contract tracers are always in demand. There is a need for this work whenever there are outbreaks of illness such as measles, smallpox, flu and other illnesses spread by person-to-person contact. The need is particularly high now due to COVID.

Q. How was the curriculum and training developed?

A.  The curriculum is aligned to specific training guidelines per the Center for Disease Control (CDC). The CDC guidelines are carefully monitored and adjustments are made to training as necessary when there are changes or updates in the CDC guidelines.
