This class will cover;

• The different types of life and insurance
• How and why life insurance is important 
• Utilizing life insurance for income and retirement planning

Do you have a child that just got their license or is going to be going through drivers ed soon?  In this seminar, we explain the insurance market and how teenage drivers are rated.  We look at things that you can do to help alleviate the rising insurance costs and liabilities that your new driver may bring.

The focus will be on stretching and breathing while building our strength and finding peace. All levels are welcome. Drop-ins are welcome and new students can join anytime. Finish those UFOs (aka unfinished objects) or start a new one. Pick up helpful tips from fellow stitchers and make new friends! Escape those constant interruptions at home with over five hours of sewing and camaraderie. Show and tell is encouraged, and no one is too new to join in the fun! Bring handwork or your sewing machine and supplies. Iron, ironing board, cutting mats and rulers supplied.

Have you ever thought of getting into martial arts but you're not sure where to start? Are you looking to build the skills and confidence necessary to defend yourself? Whether you are looking for an activity to get into shape and be active or whether you're just looking to do something for fun, NACE has a class for you! We are thrilled to be working with local martial arts studio, Ragnarok Martial Arts, to bring our community members a place to learn something new. In this six-week class, you will follow the structure of the studio's curriculum and belt system. For repeat students, each session will work through the different belt levels (starting from white and working to black) upon completion of each level. 

All experience levels are welcome. Instructor Emma has been training in martial arts since the age of 4, and currently teaches with 3 other schools along with running Ragnarok Martial Arts located here in North Berwick. 

Comfortable gym clothes are required. If you would like to purchase a Gi, belt and patch, for $50, please speak to the instructor before or after class.

Class 6 in the "Let's Get Ready to GARDEN" series

Have you been wanting to start a garden but aren't sure how to get started? Have your prior attempts at growing turned brown? If you've gardened before or not, would you like to plan your garden with a group of fellow plant and dirt lovers?

We will savor seed catalogs and packets, discuss various options for planting and garden design for whatever your situation. We will plan for starting seeds, purchasing plants, and transplanting. The class will cover the basics of garden care through the growing season, address individual questions/situations, and provide resources for you to continue your gardening adventures. There may even be some seedling swapping and a forum for celebrations and support outside of class.

Class 6 will go over:
"Gonna Make This Garden Grow!" Care of the summer garden.

• Learn fundamentals of plant and garden care through
   the growing season.
• Learn about succession and companion planting, pruning and trellising,
   weeding and deadheading, pests and pest control, composting
   and harvesting.

Non-chemical weed and pest management methods will be discussed. Participants will be provided with Extension Office approved information on pest and weed control, garden hygiene and composting.
