This is a fun and engaging way for students to learn English vocabulary and grammar in context while gaining skills and strategies in reading, writing, listening and speaking. Students are tested to see what level they are currently which will help in placement. All tests are to measure your current level and are NOT pass or fail tests. MLL Burlington English

The Burlington English platform is designed to enhance English Language proficiency for non-native speakers. This mobile program is a great starting point for beginner students, introducing the English language through listening, speaking, reading and writing. It also has a digital literacy course for the new learner. The program can be downloaded to the students? laptops or cellphones for at home practice.

MLL Open Lab

Open Lab is designed for students who need Resume or Job Application help or for students who want to drop in to work on the computer for a bit. It is also a designated day for appointment only onboarding of students to the Burlington English, Northstar Digital Literacy and EnGen platforms.

The Learning Center is open to all adults in need of academic instruction and guidance. Hours vary by day, and we will try to meet you on your schedule. Our staff provides individualized instruction in the areas of:

  • High School Equivalency
  • HiSET Prep
  • Accuplacer Prep
  • Math and ELA instruction to prepare you for college-level coursework
  • General reading, writing, and math tutoring for anyone pursuing college or career education
  • Workforce credential or certification tutoring and prep
  • College and Career advising

All services through the Learning Center are FREE of charge. If you or anyone you know could use any of these services, please contact us.
