CARDS FROM SCRAPS- NEW

Do you have leftover scraps of paper or card stock? Don’t throw them away! Learn how to make a quilted star, a fractured card and a strip card from scraps. All materials and instructions will be provided as well as scraps from different color groups and a variety of sentiments for various occasions (including Valentine’s Day)

Needle Knitting: A Winter Sweater Knit-Along
with Elizabeth Sokoloff, Merrymeeting Community & Adult Education

Are you a newish (or out of practice) knitter and ready to tackle your first sweater? Using my fool-proof classic pullover sweater pattern, you will learn basic sweater construction skills such as tweaking a pattern to achieve your perfect fit, knitting from the top-down, creating raglan sleeves, and final finishing techniques. Learn in a communal, stress-free and satisfying way! Some very basic knitting experience is required. Bring a sweater that fits you well to the first class. Students will purchase their own yarn and needles, so cost will vary. *No Class: 2/19.
Intro to Expressive Art Journaling

Mixed media art journaling gives you the freedom to create self-expressive art without the fear of mistakes. Expressive art journaling can help to reduce stress, depression and anxiety. In this 6-week class, learn to create a visual expression of ideas, thoughts and emotions while relaxing and having fun using a wide range of art supplies and techniques.

Glass on Glass Mosaic

An intro to the bright and shiny world of glass on glass mosaics. Bring a nature photo for inspiration or go with the flow for an abstract adventure. Mosaic substrate is an unfinished wooden picture frame with a clear glass back. The first two classes are for breaking, arranging and gluing glass. The third class we will grout and finish. Tools will be provided for in class use. No experience required! All Materials provided. A material fee of $35 must be paid to the instructor on the first night of class.
Intro to Digital Photography
with Dave Cleaveland, Merrymeeting Community & Adult Education

Come join us and learn the basics of photography. This course will teach you how to take the photograph that you want to by studying the exposure triangle and how it works. We will be focusing on DSLR and Mirrorless camera functionality and settings, proper lighting, and correct tripod usage. There will be classroom instruction as well as a field trip. Classroom instruction will include proper settings, photo composition, and editing using Adobe Lightroom. Our final class will either be a field trip (depending on weather) or some fun, in class, photography. If you already have a DSLR or Mirrorless camera, bring it to class! A camera is not required to take this class, but it sure makes it easier!

Muffin Tin Class
with Jeffrey Darnell Carpenter, Wells-Ogunquit Adult Community Education

This class will introduce various simple meal recipes using a muffin tin for making a set of meals that can be eaten right away or frozen to be microwaved later. This class is a hands-on class with participants, and they will be taught how to properly store these meals and also sample the recipes. Please bring in a small Tupperware container to take home left overs. You will also receive a cookbook with over 60 muffin meal recipes with pictures of the finished products. Grocery fee of $10. due to instructor at time of class.

Stretch & Tone S6 THURSDAYS

This course is for people experiencing tight hips and low back discomfort , as well as active people and athletes. Tight hips impact knees and low back. Contributing factors are long periods of sitting which lock hips tight. We begin with simple stretches and breathwork for deep relaxation and progress as mobility increases. No experience is necessary, Bring a mat for floorwork.
