Intro to Improvisational Theater

Join seasoned actor and director, Tom Nash as you participate in theater games and exercises, and hone your improvisational acting skills. Explore various acting techniques aimed at creating unique vivid characters and enhancing your ability to improvise.This active, participatory course will help you delve into the psyche of a character and discover the potential of communication via movement and gesture along with the spoken word. Enjoy scenario development and perform some short scenarios with your new “troupe”. No previous acting experience is required. While this is not comedy improv, participants are guaranteed to experience much laughter and fun!

Marlinspike Seamanship-Nautical Arts

Learn to manipulate various types of rope to create key fobs, bracelets, pouches, floor mats, and more. With a few simple but necessary tools, guidance from available reading material, and an experienced mariner to consult with in class, bring your questions and get deep into the style of handwork that has aided sailors for generations. In this class, you will learn practical knot work and splicing. Students may wish to purchase Marlinspike Sailor by Hervey Garret Smith or Des Pawson’s more recent Knot Craft. A list of additional locally available supplies will be sent prior to the start of class.
ZUMBA Session 3

Robin's Zumba® classes have been running strong for over 14 years through the Wells Ogunquit Adult Ed. Zumba® is dance exercise for people who don't consider themselves dancers but love to dance. Pre-Algebra Brush Up

You brush up on fractions, decimals, and percentages, ratios and porportions. If you are new to these topics and need more in-depth learning and support, we have individualized options. This is an in-person class; no class 12/23/24 or 12/30/24.
Vanessa loves working with adult learners. She is really easy to be around and makes people extremely comfortable; she even makes learning math and computers fun! She is committed to helping adults discover their strengths, build their confidence, and realize they can accomplish their goals. In her free time, she loves to travel and explore the outdoors. Vanessa teaches math, science, technology, and provides college and career advising.

We are happy to partner with the Finance Authority of Maine to present a series of free, virtual workshops on scholarships, planning to pay for college, loans, and financial wellness.
