MCST Adult Education is an official Certiport® Exam Test Center, proctoring exams for individuals with current and relevant digital skills to obtain credentials for the competitive global workforce. Certification exams include the official Microsoft Office program, the Microsoft Technology Associate program, the Adobe® Certified Associate program, the Adobe® Certified Expert program, the Autodesk® Certified User program, the Intuit® QuickBooks Certified User program and the IC3 Digital Literacy Certification. The proctor fee must be paid at the time of testing here; the fee is based on the length of the exam. Please call 596-7752 option 3 with questions and to schedule a testing appointment.

With classes and meetings now online, Zoom has become the most widely used web-based video conferencing tool, but it often does not get used to its full advantage.  In this one night class we will take a deep dive into the Zoom platform to explore the advanced features it has to offer.  We will cover how to change meeting control settings, how to share screens, how to use Zoom on different devices (iPhone, Android, MacBook, and PC’s), and much more. Come prepared with a basic knowledge of how to use Zoom and we will delve more deeply into the advanced features. This class may be presented via Zoom, if necessary, and our Adult Ed staff will assist.

This class will be a perfect starting point to get the most use of your home computer.

In this very informal style class you will establish basic but essential skills that will help you feel more confident and effective at using technology to stay engaged. Familiarity with navigating Teleconferencing platforms such as Zoom and Google Meet have recently become very popular topics. You may use this time to understand how to better support your child’s online learning. We’ll offer support in creating and managing emails and basic documents, performing effective internet research and more. Bring your own computer or use ours. 

We’re Mac, PC, Chromebook, iPhone and Android friendly! 1 hour flex time block.

Starting a podcast may seem like a challenge, but anyone can launch one whether it is about a passion, hobby, or for a business. Learn the steps needed to create, launch, and grow a successful podcast. This one-night class will teach you how to develop your podcast idea, choose hardware, and create an RSS feed. Other topics that will be covered include naming the podcast, artwork, interviews, editing techniques, and submitting the show to destinations like Apple Podcasts and Spotify.  This class can operate successfully via Zoom, if necessary.
