The Advanced CompTIA A+ Certification Prep course focuses on fun technology. You'll learn everything you need to know to select, install, and service video, sound, and portable computers. The course teaches networking, both wired and wireless, because every well-rounded tech needs to know it. You'll learn about security, security, security. The Advanced course completes the three-course CompTIA A+ Certification Exam Prep cycle and prepares you for both the 901/902 exams and for real life as a tech.  Fee: $159

Advanced QuickBooks

This class covers the more advanced features of QuickBooks. Students will analyze reports, reconciling bank and credit cards, manage accounts receivables and payables, customize reports, customize fields, job costing, managing inventory, journal entries, and advanced tools. Prerequisite: Basic knowledge of Accounting, QuickBooks and computers required. No class 4/16.

Tuesdays, 3/19 – 4/30, 5:30 – 8:00 PM for 6 sessions

Location: Windham High School - Room 125

Fee: $79, plus $25 textbook

 

Shelli Pride is the College Transitions Coordinator and possesses over 22 years of adult education teaching experience. She is also the owner of Pride's Business Services for the past 22 years, which offers bookkeeping and tax preparation services.

AutoCAD Basics

The basics of AutoCAD will be covered thru step-by-step instruction, and will progress in difficulty, to offer the student a solid foundation in using AutoCAD. Emphasis will be placed on basic shape creation, layers, line-types, text formatting, dimensions, and printing. An understanding of basic drafting skills would be beneficial, but not necessary. Tips and tricks of construction, gained thru 25+ years of AutoCAD experience, will be offered throughout the 8 weeks of class.

Automotive Technology

This 10 week course will give you a basic understanding of your automobile as well as provide a launching pad to careers or further study at a community college level. We will cover the following topics, aligned to ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) standards: Foundation and Safety, Basic Engine and Auto Transmission Fundamentals/Service, Steering System and Suspension, and Brakes. By completion of class, the student will have a solid understanding of lubrication, fluids, tires, vehicle maintenance, and how systems work. Safety is covered in the first two sessions and students will be assigned safety modules to study at home. This is not a bring-in-your-own-vehicle repair class; applied learning will occur in the shop on a demo vehicle.  Protective eye wear and steel-toed footwear required.

Payment plan available: $75 deposit plus 1 payments of $70.00, paid every four weeks
