These classes are designed for people who speak little or no English. This is a fun and engaging way for students to learn English vocabulary and grammar in context while gaining skills and strategies in reading, writing, listening and speaking. Students are tested to see what level they are currently which will help in placement. All tests are to measure your current level and are NOT pass or fail tests. Build on your knowledge in reading, writing, science, social studies, and math to be successful on the HiSET High School Equivalency Test. This class has open enrollment and students can enter at any time during the semester. Remote learning options are available in conjunction with classroom time. ELL Digital Literacy F24

This is a hands-on lab to help students who are currently ELL learners learn to navigate digital environments.

Students will learn how to operate a computer and use it to create documents, and spreadsheets, and look up information. They will learn how to write an email, how to tell the difference between safe and unsafe email and content on the internet, and other computer-based skills.

The course will combine short lectures/demonstrations with hands-on practice.
