Dandelion Food & Tea Workshop

Do you know all the amazing things you can make from dandelions?
Join us in this class to learn how to collect and process these amazing plants. Learn recipes with dandelion greens, use dandelion flowers to make jams, teas and wines, and go over the beneficial properties of dandelion roots. We will taste, create and make some delicious dishes.
The Volsung Saga Retelling

We have all heard about the Norse gods like Thor and Odin, but what of their heroes and folklore? In this one-night class you will hear the granddaddy of all the Norse sagas: The Volsung Saga. This story has influenced art and music for hundreds of years, and even had a great influence on Tolkien while he wrote the Lord of the Rings books.
First Aid
with Charissa Kerr, Westbrook Adult Education
The First Aid class includes: medical emergencies, bleeding that you can see, bleeding you cannot see, treating for shock, and how and when to call emergency services. The course cost includes a blend of PowerPoint and video, instructor and practical components, and a certificate of completion. This class is taught to the standards established by the American Heart Association. The workbook is not included in this class. If you would like a workbook, please indicate on your registration form (one workbook covers CPR and first aid). Cost is $10 for the book.
Lighthouse Photo Workshop

In the first live online class, we'll start by learning camera settings, aperture, shutter, ISO, white balance and other compositional techniques critical to lighthouse photography. The following Saturday, during the Cruise, we’ll focus on photographing the wildlife and lighthouses, sharing techniques and approaches. Finally, we’ll meet online the following week to share, learn and critique our images. Limited to 15 students. This workshop is for beginner and intermediate photographers.

This is an online course. Cruise is outside in person. (Cruise cost is separate from class, tickets range from $60 - $70).

Drilled Beach Stone: Necklace and Key Ring

Drilled Beach Stone material list
Learn to turn beach stones into beautiful one of a kind necklaces and key rings by safely drilling beach stones, setting grommets and attaching jump rings. At the end of class, you will have 2 necklaces and 1 key ring. Choose from prepared stones that Susan will provide. If time allows additional materials may be purchased to make more items.
