Maine Driving Dynamics
Maine's Driving Dynamics course allows all drivers to improve their defensive driving abilities. This five-hour course will discuss collision avoidance techniques, safety issues, driver habits and attitudes, and the essential elements constantly challenging drivers on Maine's highways. Students completing the course will receive a three-point credit on their driving record. A certified Maine Driving Dynamics instructor teaches this course.

Maine Driving Dynamics (Apr)

A Bureau of Highway Safety course aimed at improving a student's defensive driving awareness and abilities. The five-hour course includes discussion of collision avoidance techniques, safety issues, driver habits and attitudes, and the basic elements that constantly challenge drivers on Maine's highways.
The course format engages participants with a mixture of lectures, videos, and class discussion and participation. Upon completion, students will receive a three-point credit on their driving record. Some insurance companies give discounts after completing this course, so check with your company for details. Please bring your driver's license to class. Class meets on Tuesday and Thursday. This is an in-person class.

Making and Canning Salsa

In this introductory class participants will receive an overview of the safety issues, techniques used, and a review of the proper tools needed for canning. Whether you are using your home-grown vegetables or getting them at the local Farmers Market you will learn how to make delicious salsa and can it safely.
Medicare 101

Medicare is not one size fits all. New to Medicare? This session will review a wide variety of information to help you navigate the waters. We will review how to obtain Medicare, when you are eligible and many other important topics including supplemental insurance to complement original Medicare. If you are currently enrolled in Medicare come get a refresher on the basics and better understand the choices available to you and when you can make changes. There are many different products and carriers available as well as various enrollment periods which give you the opportunity to change your policy if appropriate. Anyone with questions about Medicare will find this class helpful.
Naloxone Administration - Session 1

Training Keeping Naloxone (Narcan nasal spray) on hand can help save a life. Having a kit nearby could help a friend, family member, or someone in the community in the event of an emergency. This Narcan administration training will guide you through how to use Narcan, as well as helpful information on opioids and how Narcan interacts with these substances. This training is free, on behalf of Healthy Lincoln County, a tier-two distributor of Narcan in the State of Maine. Upon completion of this training, you will receive one kit, with two doses of Narcan, to add to your first aid kit or AED box. Additionally, you will receive supplemental resources to have on hand should you want to review what was discussed in the live training event.

Candle Magic and Manifestation
It’s not just a cliche - what you think about, you really do bring about. In this interactive class we will discuss how to clearly direct your energetic thoughts AND how adding in the element of fire is an effective way to manifest things in your life. Participants will learn: various candle colors and what to use them for; how to prepare your candle for manifesting and when the best times are to burn them. You’ll create 2 different manifestation candles depending on the kind of change you want to create. Abundance, attracting love into your life, overcoming obstacles, and conquering fear are just just a few desires you can manifest. 2 hour class. All supplies are included. Limit 20 students (Minimum 6 to hold the class)
