Driver's Education: Morse High School w/Bryan

Ages: 15 - 19
PLEASE NOTE: THERE WILL BE NO CLASS ON FRIDAY, MAY 2nd.
Parents are required to attend the last 30 minutes of the first class AND participate in a ride-along with your child for the last hour of their 10 hour driving lessons requirement. Please Note: There is a make-up fee for missed classes.

Are you between ages 15 and 19 and want your State of Maine permit to prepare for your driving exam? We offer driver education courses to help build strong, safe, and confident drivers. Students are awarded an instructional permit upon successful completion of the course with a grade of 80 percent or better. Only employee discounts are allowed, but you must call to register. If the student has a medical condition, please contact the office or click on the link below as an additional medical form is required. Total hours of instruction is 40; 30 classroom and 10 driving. Full payment of $560 is required at the time of registration. If a student withdraws from the course, $75 is withheld from the refund to cover program costs. Only employee discounts for this class. Please bring your birth certificate or passport to the first class and a pen to every class as well as glasses for your eye exam, if you wear them.

Entertaining with Maine Ingredients: Bountiful Boards

A beautifully arranged charcuterie and cheese board is a sure way to impress, whether you're entertaining at home or contributing to a pot luck. The best way to improve upon this classic appetizer is to fill your board with locally-sourced cheeses, meats and accoutrements. In this class, students will be introduced to a wide variety of Maine producers; sample their products and learn how to incorporate them into your next charcuterie board. Attendees will also explore the fundamentals of arranging a beautiful charcuterie board - from cutting techniques for meats and cheeses to selecting and arranging eye-catching garnishes. This class will offer plenty of opportunity to taste products and practice various arranging techniques. All materials and product lists/recipes will be provided. Taught by Sara Gross, Presented by Maine Tasting Center.
Introduction to Pilates Mat - Summer

Learn basic pilates mat exercises designed to strengthen and lengthen the body in a safe and efficient way. Pilates is a wonderful way to strengthen your entire body and increase flexibility, mobility, balance, and coordination. No experience is necessary, and exercises can be modified to suit everyone's personal needs. Pilates is commonly used as a form of rehabilitation and is a great way to decrease pain!

Morgan Sanborn is a member of City Ballet of Boston and freelance artist with extensive background training and performing in multiple styles of dance and 25+ years of teaching experience. She is currently an American Ballet Theatre National Training Curriculum® Fellowship Instructor, certified in Progressing Ballet Technique, Pilates Academy International Mat, and working toward completing a comprehensive Pilates Apparatus Certification.
