Basic Beginner Welding
with Quinn Gerrish, Maranacook Adult Education

Have you ever thought about fabricating with metals? Maybe as a craft/hobby, or the start of a new business venture down the road? If you answered yes, then our new Basic Beginner Welding class is the right fit for you! The class will cover stick (SMAW) welding including learning how to weld different types of joints together, how to use the large range of supporting equipment (brushes, sanders, grinders, etc.), and the various welding processes with a focus on safety first.
Instructor: Quinn Gerrish
The class will meet for 8 (mostly) consecutive Thursday evenings from 5:30 to 8:30 pm beginning on March 27th running to May 22nd.
No class on 4/24 (school vacation week)

Hand Stamped Cards: Fun Techniques
with Dawn Stevens, Merrymeeting Community & Adult Education

Let’s have fun making three rubber stamped projects together: Project 1: use vellum, distress oxide ink and bold stamps to make a card. Project 2: interactive shaker card. Project 3: post-it notebook. Precut kits and envelopes are provided. Participants need a pair of scissors and colored pencils or markers. This is an intermediate level workshop.
