Lighthouse Photo Workshop

In the first live online class, we'll start by learning camera settings, aperture, shutter, ISO, white balance and other compositional techniques critical to lighthouse photography. The following Saturday, during the Cruise, we’ll focus on photographing the wildlife and lighthouses, sharing techniques and approaches. Finally, we’ll meet online the following week to share, learn and critique our images. Limited to 15 students. This workshop is for beginner and intermediate photographers.

Finally, we’ll meet online the third week to share, learn and critique our images. Limited to 15 students. This workshop is for beginner and intermediate photographers. Students must purchase their own cruise ticket in addition to the course fee.
Steve McGrath is a professional freelance Photographer and Photography Teacher who has been creating images for 30 years. Steve first began by shooting sports photography for local high schools, then weddings, and stock agencies. His love of the outdoors led him to focusing more on his true passion "nature photography" Many of his images have been published in school text books. His favorite places to shoot are Acadia National Park in Maine, the Green Mountains of Vermont, and the Cape Cod National Seashore.
Carving & Cooking Retreat with Ken & Chris

Join master wood carver Ken Wise and cooking instructor Chris Toy for a fantastic weekend of hands on Carving and Cooking instruction. Learn how to carve cooking utensils such as chopsticks, spatulas, and spoons. Then use them to prepare, cook, and eat some tasty Asian fusion recipes from Chris Toy’s cookbooks! The retreat happens on the shores of Merrymeeting Bay in the Butler Head Nature Preserve. Heartsaver Basic First Aid & CPR Adult/Child/Infant Bundle (May)

This is a bundled course with Basic First Aid in the morning and Heartsaver CPR Adult/Child/Infant in the afternoon.
Basic First Aid certifies the student in several critical topics/skills needed to provide immediate lifesaving care for individuals who are dealing with a medical or injury emergency. It also covers environmental emergencies for the lay rescuer.
The CPR course certifies the student in cardiopulmonary resuscitation skills for adults, infants, and children, as well as choking protocols. It also teaches competency in both Automated External Defibrillator use and Narcan. This is an in-person class.

Sebago Lake Kayak Lesson and Historic Tour
with Sebago Trails Paddling, Windham/Raymond Adult Education
Join the Registered Maine Guides at Sebago Trails for an on the water adventure. This two hour course will begin with a safety briefing and lesson covering the fundamentals of recreational kayaking. Using the EZ launching system at Sebago Trails Paddling, the tour will explore the water-carved bends and twists of a meandering stream unveiling local wildlife in a rustic backdrop. Then continue onto Jordan Bay of Sebago Lake as the guides share stories dating back to the settlements of the region. Come for the beautiful lake views and leave with your new favorite hobby! This is a great experience for anyone looking to get outdoors. Perfect for first time kayakers and experienced kayaking enthusiasts. Sebago Trails Paddling will provide: Kayak, Paddle, Lifejacket.
