Anger Management Workshop

In this workshop we will explore types of anger, main methods of dealing with anger, the role stress plays, your family of origins, ways of expressing emotions. We'll have dialog to support you becoming aware of self - there may be a interactive handout. Not all anger is BAD - it's about learning how to manage our emotions which is not something everyone was taught. This workshop can be helpful to anyone, especially anyone who grew up in a home where there was any form of addiction.

Make & Take Wire Wrapped Rings JAN 14
with Elise DeSalvo, MSAD 52 Adult & Community Education
Enjoy a fun evening creating 2 wire-wrapped rings with Elise Marie DeSigns! Learn how to use bead wrap wire and select beads, how to find your ring size, and use a ring mandrel!
You don't need to bring anything as Elise will bring the materials and guide you through the process step-by-step. We hope to see you there! Elise has a degree in Textiles, Merchandise & Design from the University of Rhode Island. She has always loved the "design your own jewelry" approach and tries to preserve that experience. Elise has a custom-built studio space that allows her to have a workshop set up where she can fulfill wholesale orders while also creating a beautiful environment for shopping experiences.

Watercolor and Ink Illustration - In-Depth
with Claire Loon Baldwin, Merrymeeting Community & Adult Education
This intermediate to advanced-level class integrates pen and ink techniques with watercolor. Students will gain skills for observational drawing with traditional ‘dip pens’, and precision painting with watercolor. Through projects such as utilizing color theory to paint white flowers, students will develop in-depth skills for illustration. Students can either buy themselves the required materials - the materials list is linked here - or they can buy material kits from the Mix, an art store in Brunswick (here is a link to a student-grade kit, and here is a link to an artist-grade kit).
Acid Etching Glass
with Penny Hartwell, Merrymeeting Community & Adult Education
We will create designs on glass with a frosted look. These designs will be permanent on the glass. Bring your own wine glasses, vases, etc to personalize. Some glass items will be provided as well. Quick, fun, easy projects with beautiful results. Lab fee: $5.
