Pathways for Life Review: Exploring Personal Narratives for Healing & Growth

Are you in the “latter” stages of life? Reflecting on your past and reviewing your life experiences? Formal life reviews are increasingly integrated into hospice care, bereavement support, and other contexts where we face significant life changes, challenges and losses. Join this comprehensive overview of the evidence supporting life review, best practices for self-exploration – with group work, as well as practical experiences. Discover the developmental benefits of life review while exploring your own narratives and (optionally) sharing them with others. Course materials will be accessible via Google Classroom. Class will be held at WRAE in person, unless weather conditions necessitate a switch to Zoom.

Stained Glass: The Journey Begins

Beautiful objects are created in this class every semester by beginners. You can create a stained glass window or lampshade using the copper-foil technique. Learn acid etching and drilling. This is a fun and rewarding course. A complete list of materials will be discussed on the first night of class. The cost of materials is not included in the course fee and can vary depending on choice of glass and what your imagination will create. Note: You will also need to purchase your own tools, which can run between $45-$95. *No class: 10/14, 11/11, 2/17, 2/18.

Tai Chi for Health and Balance – Part 1
Tai Chi is an enjoyable, low-impact exercise that can help you improve balance, relieve pain, increase strength and prevent falls. It is an effective exercise that is easy on the joints and good for those with arthritis and balance issues. Take this 16-session class to improve the health of your mind and body.

Watercolor-stamped Cards and Envelopes
with Sara Ottomano, Old Orchard Beach/Saco Adult Education
Create your own cards and envelopes using watercolor, homemade stamps, and drawing tools! We'll explore color mixing and layering to create vibrant stationary. The stamps used in class will be made from a variety of recycled materials including rubber bands, bubble wrap, and yarn. Participants will take home at least five cards and five sheets of stamped paper that could be turned into envelopes. All materials are provided. Please wear appropriate clothing to work with paint.
Sara Ottomano has more than 10 years of experience teaching art classes. She enjoys encouraging others to play with materials, explore sustainable artmaking practices, and create stories together.
Zumba - 6 Week

NACE is excited to welcome back instructor Maribel Despres and her zumba classes!
Join Maribel at Noble High School in North Berwick, where you can take the “work” out of workout! She mixes low-intensity and high-intensity moves for a calorie-burning dance fitness party. Zumba is a total workout, combining all elements of fitness – cardio, muscle conditioning, balance and flexibility. There will be class sessions offered Monday evenings.
Bring a water bottle; wear comfortable clothes and shoes with little to no tread to reduce twisting knee joints.

An Evening with Loves Ones/Friends with Medium Jamie Day

You're invited to witness the connection with our passed loved ones in Spirit for messages of love, healing, and validation! This is your chance for a connection with heaven!
Jamie has been working as a Medium and Mentor since 2016 and is eager to help show you that love truly has no bounds! During this group reading, experience several participants will receive unique messages of their own, and enjoy watching others receive support from the other side. Those who don't receive readings often report postcards, or special signs from their own loved ones through someone else.
After the readings, feel free to stick around and ask questions about Jamie, the process of mediumship, or your own spiritual development journey! A great chance to pick the brain of an experienced teacher.
Basic Watercolor from Life

Watercolor is a great medium for creating artwork from life. In this course we will create watercolor drawings of still life objects. Topics discussed will include colors and how to mix them, brushes, basic techniques including wash and dry brush, process, and art supplies. A suggested supply list will be provided.
