Join us and look at anxiety in some new ways to begin developing a new relationship with it. Learn the Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) and a few other tools to help you calm your nervous system, manage your anxiety, and quiet your inner critic so you can start to take your life back!

Leah Wentworth of Inner Wisdom Health & Wellness is a Certified Holistic Health Coach, Reiki and EFT/Tapping Practitioner. She is dedicated to restoring harmony to the body's energy system and offering suggestions for regaining inner understanding.

Fresh Cheese Making

In this class students will learn the hands-on-process of making fresh cheese—including yogurt, ricotta, paneer/panir, mozzarella, and Caso Rexo (buttermilk cheese). There is a $10 materials fee per person, separate from the registration fee, due directly to the instructor at the start of class. Students will need to bring tight plastic containers to take cheese home. Limit 12 students.

Heartsaver® CPR & First Aid for Adults & Children

Acquire the fundamental knowledge and skills necessary to handle first aid, choking, or sudden cardiac arrest situations until emergency medical assistance arrives. Learn how to handle scenarios including bleeding, sprains, bone fractures, and shock. Learn to operate an AED and give CPR to infants, children and adults. Certifications in first aid and CPR are valid for two years and meet the requirements for child care providers.

Karl Finley, an EMT/Paramedic who has served as a volunteer fireman with the Scarborough Fire Department for more than 20 years, previously spent 19 years at the Saco Fire Department. He has 11 years of experience instructing CPR and has been the public education coordinator for nine years.

Learn the essentials of this wholesome cuisine as we prepare Mediterranean chicken, pork and peppers, and a light, flavorful dessert. Come prepared to cook, taste, and enjoy! Bring an apron and a sharp cutting knife.

Moira Rascati, a graduate of Culinary Institute of America in NY, has been a professional chef for 40+ years and at Joseph's by the Sea in Old Orchard Beach for more than 30. She is currently an instructor at SMCC in their culinary arts and nutrition programs.

Watercolors Part 2 - Zoom Only

Concealed Carry & Home Defense Fundamentals

Two three-hour classroom sessions plus an instructional semi-private shooting lesson at a range for an additional fee. You will learn how to create a personal and home protection plan and why. You will learn self-defensive firearm basics and fundamentals. You will learn about legal use of force and what happens during a deadly encounter and afterwards. You’ll be introduced to different gear and equipment, especially pistols and ammunition. You will practice during class using a SIRT Laser pistol to learn to shoot both accurately and defensively. Range time will be when you will shoot live rounds. No handguns may be brought to class. Beginners are welcome but best for those that have some shooting experience.  Course certificate is accepted for Concealed Carry Permit application.
