What is a Clinical Medical Assistant (CMA)? A Clinical Medical Assistant is a medical support professional that performs a variety of tasks to assist physicians in providing patient care, while ensuring that clinics and hospitals run smoothly and efficiently. While CMAs working in smaller practices may be required to perform some administrative tasks, those working in larger medical facilities focus mainly on providing support services directly related to patient care. Here at the Academy we offer both Clinical and Administrative programs that can be combined.

Learn sizing, shaping, and pattern creation, achieving a relaxing flow with repetitive motion. Please note that you may not finish your basket during the class unless you choose to make a tiny one. However, we will demonstrate how to complete the final steps when you are ready. You can apply these techniques in the future to create larger and differently shaped bowls, trays, and baskets. OCEAN PLASTICS
with ecomaine Environmental Educator, Sacopee Valley Adult & Community Education
Did you know that there are trillions of pieces of plastic trash floating in our oceans? Or that this staggering number continues to grow as people continue mismanaging their waste? Much of the plastic floats at the ocean’s surface in areas like the Great Pacific Garbage Patch, where currents diverge. The rest of this errant trash can be found as microfibers floating throughout the depths of our oceans. These tiny plastic particles are a great concern for our environment and our health, as microplastics have even found their way into the human bloodstream. Join ecomaine for this special presentation about the future of ocean plastics. We’ll learn how we can minimize our own pollution, no matter where we live or visit, and what technologies can help clean up the growing problem of plastics in our oceans. Please pre-register as a minimum of 4 people is required to run the course.
